"Disasterous and very upsetting."

House was nice

Told bookings.com that we would be arriving by 8pm and did but there was nobody in! on holiday on beach do no phone reception. People eventually phoned us back after leaving a message on house phone. Turns out they had gone out to dinner! woman was very stroppy and we had to stay at Premier Inn at a cost of £139. phoned the man and agreed we would stay the second night booked. he was charming until we asked for a refund on the night we couldn’t use and down right rude when my son spoke to him the following morning. His wife could not make eye contact with us. they seem to have misunderstood the concept of service entirely. I’m in my 70s and my husband is 81. We didn’t need the stress. We had our own business for 40 years and now it still runs isuccessfully. We wouldn’t had it for for long if we’d had the same attitude as these people. all the nice house and history does not make up for a complete lack of customer service. Oh, there was a spider/web in the bedroom and I don’t like spiders! All they had to do was refund the night they left us in the lurch and a token amount towards the Premier Inn cost and perhaps offer a breakfast. As it is They have a bad review and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. basil and Sybil faulty have nothing on them!

"Disappointing"

Location, breakfast, and interior decoration of the room.

Not enough toilet tissues made us run to the nearby Spar every now and then. There was no provision for drinking water and we had to buy water bottles. The provisions were poor compared to many other Air B&Bs and B&Bs we have been to in different parts of the UK.
