"Do not book single bed room that has no window."

1.0

The single bed room at the bottom floor has no window, it is dark and full of fungus. You can easily get sick by staying there just for 1 night. It should not be made available for booking. I had to pay extra money for the upgrade to get better quality room upstairs.

Excellent staff always helpful and happy to do whatever to make the stay better . Nice basic breakfast which a lot dont offer now .

Would have preferred a double bed and maybe a larger tv screen (im short sighted so had to wear my glasses to see it lol) . Kettle had to be changed as was full of timescale but was sorted straight away and they was very apologetic , nothing really bad about the place just personal preference I suppose . It wouldnt be suitable for persons with mobility issues as the stairs are fairly steep , but again its a old property thats not the management's problem its just how things was made years and years ago . Decent pint more selection other than larger would be good but not the end of the world. Im just highlighting as much as possible so people know .

"Avoid like the plague, paying money and not be able to sleep."

1.0

Nothing

Joke of a place , only 1 night stay over (room 6) , from first minute till last I didn't have 1 seconds of quiet . The pubs loud music that literally shook the room also with loud guests constantly back and forth till 3am and terrible creeking floorboards although out, plus the Halls smelt of cigarettes and weed . The room was stuffing and lacked ventilation (felt like a sauna you couldn't escape). I understand the price was lower than most on booking but was by far the worst establishment I have ever been to just god awful.

"OK for a night, if you can sleep with noise"

8.0

Good value for a night. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff.

Lots of noise from pub below and traffic. No soundproofing. Creakey floorboards in my room, very small window, so quite stuffy.
