The Pheasant Inn

It was convenient to where I wanted to be. The people were welcoming and helpful. It was cheap. The room was small but clean.

It was quite basic. The breakfast room/restaurant was uninviting. The breakfast was OK, not fantastic as advertised. I was above the pub. It was very loud and noisy on Christmas Eve until past 11.30.

The room is horrible, wet and damp. Smells very bad, you cannot breathe. No windows. No fresh air. Worst place ever to stay. If you like your health, stay away from this place. Health and Safety concerns. Fire Alarm is disabled and not tested for many years.

Staff. Room. Everything horrible

Fast service and response by all staff and employees. Everyone was talking to each other without issues. The meals got prepared and delivered in quick time and was very hot and taste. Myself and family members have ordered multiple times on the events for meals and staff delivered without issues, this is of course within good time of the kitchen being open and able to make food.

Bit of pub noise till 12

Accueil de l'ensemble du personnel chaleureux et flexible car nous sommes arrivés après 22h. Dans cette éventualité, il faut les prévenir. Lits et salle de bains confortables. Un excellent et délicieux petit-déjeuner anglais fait maison. Parking à l'arrière de l'établissement. La chambre se situe au-dessus d'un pub ce qui n'a occasionné aucun désagrément et malgré la situation sur une route importante, nous avons pu dormir tranquillement sans bruit gênant la nuit. Très bon établissement familial, à recommander, bien situé non loin de Londres sur la route vers le Nord. Le personnel a tout fait pour que notre séjour soit agréable et confortable.

Breakfast was very good

The price and the location are good.

Staff was not helpful. Did not respond to request for late check out. 10am is a little early for checkout anyway, why not 11am or 12pm? Were not helpful with parking instructions. Demanded to know exactly what time we would arrive for breakfast. Took down credit card details in an insecure way (really necessary anyway?). Kettle in room disgusting inside. Rooms did not feel secure at all. It felt like we were bothering them our booking. It would have made more sense to pay more money elsewhere than to save money here.
