The Laylow Waikiki, Autograph Collection

We are here for six nights leading up to Xmas ‘25. Having a very nice stay at the Laylow. This is not a major resort but rather a cool stylish Marriott branded property just next to the International Market on Kuhio Abe. Our room as two comfy kings and a balcony looking at the Royal Hawaiian. The Hideaway restaurant onsite is a hidden gem, get it? The service provided by Jerome on the 11th floor is outstanding and our waitress Melody at the restaurant fantastic! There is also a small pool and gym onsite and a hydration station to refill our Stanleys. Everybody has been super nice and helpful.

Location was central and very convenient. It was a stones throw away from restaurants and malls. The beach is only less than a five minute walk. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was clean, and accommodated 5 people perfectly. The included resort package in the room was a nice touch (with the complimentary chocolate, slippers, tote bags and water bottle). Also loved that there were activities available for guests as well.

The only think I would say that I didn't like was that the parking option was very limited (just to valet) and was quite pricey. Ended up finding parking offsite through a third party. I also thought that the restaurant/ bar was a bit too overpriced.

The valet service was very good; usually the car was ready within ten minutes of a request for availability. The desk service was friendly and pretty quick. We did have to wait a few minutes for check in, which was at about 5:30 p.m. The restaurant staff was generally superb, except for a breakfast maitre d’ who was not at station for some ten minutes and seemed rather diffident about her work. (She was at the Friday a.m. about 10:00, tall with quite long hair and the air of a model.) Room straightening was superb, and very amenable to our rather lazy morning departures.

Worst thing was the poor visibility of the hotel’s name from the street. Our first arrival attempt missed the valet alley completely.

My family stayed here and had to have maintenance put battery’s in our door lock. Neslie was the maintenance worker that helped. She was so fast and friendly. She double checked all our keys. So nice and made us feel welcomed. My kids will definitely be returning.

I just stayed 5 days while on the island for work. Everyone at The Laylow are outstanding. The hotel has a fun mid-century vibe. The restaurant/ bar has great food and service. The location is outstanding. The ocean is less than a 10 minute walk. There are food options literally all around the hotel. If you need nearly anything, there is an ABC store right next door. Valet can get busy, but as long as you plan ahead, it wasn’t a problem. I’ve stayed here a few times now, and it is hands down my favorite hotel in Waikiki. I’ll be back

What a great spot, cute boutique hotel, lovely staff from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant/coffee bar & even helpful Maintenance Person Neslie!

Location is perfect! Centrally located to everywhere in Waikiki: International Market, Royal Hawaiian Center. Few minutes walk to the Westin Surfrider, Sheraton Waikiki, and Waikiki Beach. The hotel gives a welcome basket upon arriving into the room! Slippers, chocolate, flip flops (Men/Women), canvas bag, 2 bag of chips. We were on the 12th floor - there is only 1 set of elevators, so depending on time of day, it can be a wait - you need your key card to use the elevator. The bed was comfortable, but felt the room needed more lighting. It's a modern decor, so kind of felt like home. We got a great rate on hotels.com, but the destination fee + other taxes totaled to $80; however, the hotel does give a $25 credit each day to use for the restaurant, coffee shop, or their store. Upon arriving we were greeted by Joey (front desk associate). It was a quick check in and he updated my room to the upper level at no additional cost and informed me of the daily credit, which I didn't know about. Upon check out, Dominic printed out our folio and offered to call a taxi for us. Taxi wasn't necessary - used Lyft. Lyft or Uber is approx. $30-$40 depending on time of day. In the evenings they have a singer and a DJ. The singer on 12/6 was fabulous - smooth voice.

The Laylow is a hidden gem of a hotel. They have exceptional customer service & offer lots of free extra perks. Sierra provided outstanding service, was very kind & friendly. She made our experience a 15 out of 10. Thank you!
