The Westin Grand Frankfurt

Entkofeinierter Kaffee beim Frühstück.

Zimmer für 3 Erwachsene gebucht. Hatte 2 x 140 Bett mit je einer Decke! In Afrika eventuell im 1 Sterne Hotel möglich, aber im Westin Grand? Nur zwei Tassen und 2 Milch für drei, nur zwei Bademäntel, davon einer direkt vorne total vedreckt. Auf Beschwerde kamen dann 2 Decken je 200x200cm. Angeblich gibt es keine andeten Decken. Funktioniert auf einem 140 Bett natürlich gar nicht. An der Rezeption hat man uns nicht etwa ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, sondern, man wollte uns was Gutes tun, was man dann aber doch nich gemacht hat. Ich besuche regelmäßig 5 Sterne Hotels in Deutschland, aber sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt .

Location - felt a bit rough

Location is great as it is only within 10 minutes walking distance from two shopping malls. Check in was smooth. Staff were polite and very friendly. They speak very fluent English too. Breakfast was good. Overall, an excellent stay.

The cleanliness of the hotel and the pleasant nature of the staff and the 'Service with a smile' attitude. Best of all the excellent location of the hotel. Easy to get to and travel to other locations from.

We were at the hotel for 5 nights, 3 nights of which the air-conditioning was not working. It was more than 25 degrees Celcius in the hotel room at night and impossible to sleep comfortably. No table fans were provided to ease the situation, though I learnt later that some rooms were provided with portable fans. This selective treatment is not acceptable at a 5 star hotel like the Westin. All guests should have been informed about the availability of the portable fans, but this did not happen. Upon learning about this and bringing it up with the staff, they said they had run out of fans and were helpless about providing one to us. So we did not get much sleep for 3 nights out of our 5 night stay at the hotel. While one understands that unplanned situations like this can occur, the care imparted to the guests should have been much better. This was not a 5 star experience unfortunately. However I must add that the night Manager Alex was kind enough to offer us a discount for our stay when we brought up this matter with him. That was very kind of him. A good gesture. Appreciate that very much.

Great location, nice pool and spa, friendly staff and clean well looked after facilities

It's expensive, the breakfast is extortionate and not included in already high room prices
