The Hollybush Inn and B&B

My room was like a freezer, I stayed fully dreesed to keep warm in the room. There was no offer of a portable heater. The bar area was also cold as both wood burners were broken and they were unable to light them . I suppose thats why the locals in the bar never took their coats off. Breakfast was a feeble continental effort. My two colleagues had to pay £80 per room for this each

Nothing, just as we expected.

Lovely location, friendly helpful staff on arrival. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. The shower was good; hot and powerful.

The bathroom had taps that have to be pressed and then go off after a few seconds, the water splashed all over our clothes and they made it tricky to brush teeth/wash hands etc. There was a loud ticking noise from the heating system that woke us up at 6am and persisted for 2 hours and a bright green emergency light in the room that stayed on all night. The breakfast was inadequate. Advertised as continental but was just a fridge, kettle and toaster left on a table downstairs in the bar which we found by accident as no one told us about it. There were only 2 prepacked croissants and some bread that was not fresh, cereal, yogurts and tea/coffee/juice. I think £80 for a night with this breakfast option is a little over priced.
