The Red House

Located only twenty minutes on foot from the Main entrance of Seoraksan National Park. The breakfast was incredible! The staff was really hospitable and helped with planning my hiking tours through the park. A 7-eleven and some small restaurants are also located close to the hotel. The building is a bit older, but all the Rooms were very tidy.

There are mosquito nets in the bedroom (+AC), but none in the bathroom, which makes ventilation difficult there.

Nothing was great! Just note buses to and from seem to be quite inconsistent and no real set times buses were scheduled and just wouldn’t show up.

Location is great for the Seoraksan national park, there are also a few restaurants and 711 nearby, easy bus from Sokcho. The hosts/owners are amazing, very friendly and welcoming, helpful w tips etc. The room was clean and perfectly adequate, the pillows were a bit too hard but good value for the price overall!

This was a great stay if you are looking for an affordable accommodation that is close to the national park. I stayed in a 4 person shared room and it was great. The room and bathroom were generally clean and the room was spacious enough to lay out any sweaty or wet clothes. The beds were slightly uncomfortable, but it was fine for the few nights I was there. The hosts are so kind! They give you information about the hikes and things to do around the city. I had a very very early morning hike that I had to get to, but unfortunately a taxi could not be arranged for that time. The property owner kindly offered to drive me down to the park entrance which was incredibly kind since I needed to leave at 3:30 AM. I recommend staying here if you are looking to do a couple hikes in Seoraksan.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit! Sie haben mir extra vegetarische Speisen zum Frühstück gekocht, da ich kein Fleisch esse. Das Hotel ist per Bus sehr gut zu erreichen und ruhig gelegen. Der Nationalpark, Supermärkte und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Wir können das Red House weiterempfehlen!

Petit havre de paix ! Personnel très accueillant, choix dans les repas notamment végétarien. L'emplacement est tout près du Parc. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour.

Rien ! On aurait aimé rester plus longtemps.
