Mabel's House

I liked the wood floors - hate walking on carpet that is not in my own home. The room was small but comfortable and clean - just what we wanted for a one night stay.

They were no longer serving breakfast (closed for the season), and check-in was across the street - a little confusing. Other guests had to tell us since there was no information at the empty front desk - just a phone number, but no one picked up. I guess the expectation was for self-check-in.

When we got in the room, the TV didn’t work. Upon checking, I found the TV and cable box were both in plugged? Additionally, the HDMI cable wasn’t connected to the cable box! Called for maintenance and 45 minutes later he came to check everything. Finally after numerous attempts he was able to get the tv to work. Very disappointed!

Nice Room, comfy beds, clean, could get breakfast downstairs (not included), bikes included

No one at the property to talk to about taking out kayaks or bikes; decent walk to the main area of restaurants and shops, but doable, the view from the back deck was ok.

The bed mattress is very soft and uncomfortable to sleep . Be nice to have small table in the bathroom, to put all accessories. The room is small but cozy. Outside sitting area needs to be clean . good location . no front desk

Room was tiny. Bathroom had no level place to put anything. Bed killed my back. Other than that, fine.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Our rooms were on the first floor and close to the kitchen. About 6:30/7:00 AM the kitchen staff were preparing breakfast and were quite noisy. It happened all 3 mornings we were there. It was quite annoying since we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in.

Das Zimmer und insgesamt das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist super - ruhig gelegen und sehr nahe am Strand. Der Blick auf den Pond/ Fluss ist sehr schön. Die beiden Restaurants nahe Mabels House waren hervorragend.

Der Lärm in der Nacht - irgendwo hat ein Aggregat 2x sehr sehr laut (über die üblichen Geräusche der diversen Klimaanlagen hinaus) gearbeitet. Ohne earplugs konnte ich nicht schlafen.

Clean, nice location, friendly staff.

We were confused what to do when we arrived after the check-in hours. We originally went to the wrong room but then I saw a number to call for the hotel across the street. Nowhere to set things in the bathroom. Otherwise, great stay.
