Riverside Hotel

The Administrative staff, hospitality personnel and taxi driver Mr Wallace were friendly and excellent. The restaurant food was tasty. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable; however, the property requires some maintenance as outside our balcony there was stagnant water that resulted in sandflies and mosquitoes. Other than that, our 6 days stay was great!! Will recommend.

Very cozy, in a quiet area but still close to everything that Portsmouth has to offer. The staff easily accommodated a late check-in and were overall very pleasant. Would stay again.

The apartment is very well equipped and clean everyday. Very comfortable and quiet with the river next to the building.

Location was fine and central. Staff where helpful and friendly

Doors couldn't lock properly and front door needed to be lifted to close. No lift had to walk up 2 flights of stairs Had to bring my bagged down the stairs. No mesh on window so if you are like me and not like air conditioning windows cant be opened or you will be attacked by flying creatures. Food gave me a running belly on first night so didn't eat in restaurant after that.

I wish I'd had more than one night to relax at this little gem of a hotel on a little gem of an island nation. The hotel arranged a taxi from DOM airport, and I was welcomed warmly and thoughtfully upon arrival. My particular needs were met with great care. My room, really a suite, was well appointed and included a fully stocked kitchen. Everyone on staff was polite and accommodating. I had a late lunch at the hotel's restaurant. My meal was good, but the heat in the no-AC dining room and the constant need to shoo away flies made it a somewhat uncomfortable experience. This was the only downside, and it did not put any sort of damper on my stay. I look forward to returning if life takes me back to Dominica.

The stove, shower, TV, electric kettle, AC and plenty of storage in the bedroom.

We didn’t like the mattress, it’s old fashioned and you can feel the springs come through. The ventilation system in the bathroom is probably old and while we turned on the ventilation you’d smell the sewage from other rooms. The balcony door didn’t close properly. The kitchen had the minimal, like no kitchen towels or utensils for when you’d cook. The shampoo sachets were dried out.

Our 2nd stay at this hotel. Came here as an stay due to an emergency visit for a funeral. The place was as before with a great view of the river and it’s wonderful peaceful and soothing sound. The staff were great especially if there was an issue it would be solved very speedily. Valda was extremely attentive, as with the other staff, but she when the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable. She fixed the TV and sliding door, stopped the window from shaking. Truly going beyond the call of duty as a receptionist. The rest of the team from reception, housekeeping, security and maintenance were all great. Thank you all so much which made a sad visit a very pleasant stay. God bless you all.
