Holiday Inn Suva by IHG

The reception ws kind enough to book us for another stay Rooms were clean very nicely done atmosphere was a vibe great food esp the pizza was delicious my kids loved it and kids really enjoyed their stay.

Holiday Inn IHG Suva is conveniently located right on the edge of Suva city and garners a lovely view of its harbour. The atmosphere is just the right amount of relaxing, given that it also provides accommodation for those in the city for business/work. I booked two rooms for my family, where the staff generously allowed us a connecting room, and they were clean, comfortable and spacious. I felt that it was great value for money. While my family did not get a chance to use the pool, the other amenities were conveniently located and accessible. Our rooms were far away enough from the bar where we were not disturbed by the Friday night rush. Food was delicious! We ordered so much and may have allowed our eyes to take over out wallets haha. The seafood pizza - I definitely recommend. The fish and chips have always been a winner for me. The other pizzas were a lovely plus. Only areas of improvement I would were for the ceaser salad and pastas. It would have been nice to have a basil pesto pasta dish as a break, and the ceaser salad could have been improved. Apart from that, the staff service, the accessibility, location and everything else was awesome! Definitely will come again and recommend for the young family with small kids who would love to vacay but cannot travel too far from home.

Staff are friendly. Nice open out door area. Has free car parking. Pool was great.

Our room was good but our out look from the patio was probably the worst at the hotel Breakfast not that great.

I found the foyers very crowded with locals and difficult to find parking. It sort of inconveiences people staying at the hotel because most areas in foyers and around pool areas were always full.

The reception and check in was wonderful and the porters and security staff very helpful. The restaurant staff were very helpful and looked after us very well. It was my mothers 90th birthday which I had stated when booking and at check in, but it appears this was not communicated to the restaurant staff who normally would come and sing a birthday song - communication has broken down perhaps.

Unfortunately, the rooms I booked all had issues - no glasses in one room. Two bath mats and no hand towel in one and one had a dead bug in the shower. This was the first time I noticed such issues at Holiday Inn. I had suggested to family members to stay at HI, however my son and his fiance orderded just 1 can of coke and 1 beer - waited 30 mins then reminded the person who served them who said "Oh I forgot" then they waited another 20 mins. In the end, they cancelled the order and left. It appeared that most of the Bar staff were interested in making the local guest who perhaps frequent the bar happier than their care of hotel guests. The speed in which the staff walked around had slowed down significantly form last visit - whislt they were happy to bring things to the room if requested, they seemed to be disconnected.
