Great food

Bit of noise from the road at the front but did not spoil our sleep or stay

Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room at the rear of the premises. Good food. Well stocked bedroom with tea, coffee, chocolate, peanuts and jelly babies.

Towel rail not working in bathroom, so a little chilly.

Excellent breakfast, friendly welcoming staff, nice little extras like nuts and sweets in the room. Great shower

A minor point- the lead on the hairdryer was very short and made it difficult to dry hair while looking in mirror.

The property is in a great location for our needs . The breakfasts and the meal we had in the pub were very good .

We was disappointed with the room size ,compared to what we had booked and was expecting as the room we was in was listed as a double and I had booked and paid for a superior room . The shower door only opened just enough to get in . The mattress on the bed was very soft .

Nice and clean Staff were friendly and helpful The bath towels were nice and big.The menu was reasonable although a few more choices for vegans/vegetarians would be nice A none butter spread at breakfast would be welcome as well

Difficult location as property situate on main road. Noisy as allocated a front room.

It has lots of character being an old building. Loved the little touches in the room of jelly babies and peanuts as well as bottled water. An iron and ironing board was provided on request. Rooms were clean and tidy with plenty of towels and extra pillows. Bed was comfy and shower powerful. Liked the complimentary shampoo and body wash along with shower cap and shoe cleaner. Breakfast was included with the room and a great choice to choose from. The eggs Benedict was lovely. This was eaten in the bar area which was very tastefully decorated. We were given 2 free bottles of water for our journey home too which was very thoughtful. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Shower tray quite slippery when getting in and out so could do with a grab rail. Also water didn’t drain straight away so shower tray was full of water. Bathroom door didn’t shut properly.

I loved the rooms and restaurant, staff were lovely. The only reason for the 3 stars is the location. The beautiful old building is right under Bristol airport flight path. From 6am, every 5 minutes, a plane flew overhead. Very early start to my day.
