The hotel is amazing, I loved the male yoga instructor with breathwork, so magical. And a very special thank you to Marcus, perfect English, kindness and professionalism. We could’not dream better

Good location, very nice view from the upper floor rooms (3rd and above), beach service, good hot stone massage, good breakfast.

Room is basic, the sink is in the room which gives it a hostel vibe in my opinion, old furniture, small outdated shower cabin. No real reception/lobby, no actual space to sit/wait other than the busy restaurant. Service is generally friendly but rushed and chaotic. Intermittent wifi. Unpleasant fish smell around reception area. Restaurant toilets working on and off. Overall bad value for money.

This is THE spot to be in Ipanema, actually in entire Rio! No street between the hotel and the beach! The view from the rooms located in the upper floors facing the ocean is stunning! The staff is extremely friendly and professional, a special thanks to Gabriel at the reception! We have been staying in this hotel for quite a few years now, and we can witness a slow but steady degradation of the premises. The entrance hall is dirty and smelling garbage, as well as the elevator. the wooden floor in the room is severely scratched, a few sanitary settings are malfunctioning, there are a few cracks in the wall of the rooms, and the smell of humidity is pregnant in the rooms when the window are not fully open. The managing directors should take a serious look at these issues for fear of loosing the aura of the unique -and expensive- hotel..

Everything about Hotel Arpoador is perfect. The location is perfection and super safe, the restaurant ARP is amazing and overlooks the beach, the staff are super friendly, the rooms are nice and fresh. The shower gel and body lotion are the best. What can I say it always exceeds our expectations.
