Courtyard Des Moines West/Clive

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nice ammenities. Only con was you had to pay for coffee at the lobby area. There was a small coffee pot and coffee in the room, but odd not to have coffee and water not included.

Room was very clean. Bed was super comfy.

Basic hotel that has a nice Starbucks. Unfortunately the second morning nobody was at the desk or the starbucks counter. Tried to get attention, but nobody was to be found. The hot tub, while nice, was incredibly hot. So hot it was really uncomfortable and thus unuseable.

Comfortable

Mold in the shower and AC unit. Old musty rooms that desperately need updating. We left a day early as our allergies could not take anymore. Upon checkout the staff did not even note our complaint of mold in the rooms. They only stated “well it’s too late for housekeeping to turn the room around for someone else to use tonight,” which we already knew.

Had a great time staying there. The staff is friendly. Great coffee. Bed are comfortable! Room is secure and no random noise from hallway and or adjoining rooms. Peaceful stay!

Clean, safe, professional staff!!

We stayed here on points for one night whilst passing through; given we paid with points, we splurged on the high pet fee. The lobby area looked renovated; the rooms were not. Our 1st floor room was tired, had a stale smell, and oddly had the TV placed such that you couldn’t lay in bed comfortably and watch. There is a coffee maker in the room, but no free coffee in the lobby. There was also a small fridge in the room, and a very small (older) microwave. The parking was ample, and seemed safe. The night we stayed there was a stabbing at the hotel next door, which made me concerned about taking the dog outside early in the morning. Hopefully that was an isolated incident.
