The Thomas Lord is an absolute gem. Really enjoyed my stay from start to finish. All the staff were lovely and so helpful. The room was beautifully made up and had all those little touches to make it a really comfortable stay. Great shower and comfy bed with nice bedding. Lovely little touches like the homemade shortbread biscuits and great selection of teas and coffees with fresh milk in the fridge for a decent cuppa. The food in the bar/restaurant was amazing too and it has a really lovely cosy atmosphere. Fully recommend and will be staying again myself next time I'm in the area.

The accommodation was lovely and clean and spacious. Couldn't tell whether the other pods were occupied as no visual or noise disturbance. The staff were friendly and the pub is used by locals as well as visitors, giving it a good feel. Good place for walking breaks.
