Oneida Community Mansion House

So for our plans (family reunion in the area) it was perfect location. Huge family grew up in the area and many only recently knew that the Community meant utopian commune. SUCH INTERESTING HISTORY.

We had no issues. Beds comfy and rooms and bath LARGE and house AMAZING and history explained WELL

The bathroom having 3 different doors out were so creepy 😆 but other than that it's such a nice place!! So clean nice staff

The Oneida Community Mansion House makes for a unique and very interesting stay. This is not a typical hotel or Bed and Breakfast experience. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and very quiet. The grounds are lush and park-like. The Mansion provides a look into utopian life in a setting full of ambiance and history. To take full advantage of the site, plan for time to explore and learn from this part of the American story.

The building and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained.

The breakfast was a disappointment. I knew it would be continental, but even so the choices were very limited and all sweet. Perhaps they could get their hands on a toaster and get some decent breads.

The Oneida Community Mansion House comes with a rich history: there's even a museum in the property giving a very detailed background of how the community started and all the archives, books, the enterprise etc. We had a guest room on the ground floor which is spacious, high ceiling, big windows with natural light and views out to the garden. It is quiet and very low occupancy during our stay (which was great!).

This is an old building which is in need of upgrading and modernization. Having said that the usual amenities were available and the Wifi worked well. The breakfast was really basic but I would not be too particular due to the rate we pay. There was no on-site restaurant. We stayed on a Sunday and wanted to dine in. The restaurant at the nearby golf course was closed for dinner on Sunday.

This is an amazing and historic Mansion House! Location is perfect! Breakfast could have had a few more choices of plain yogurt and maybe bananas. (But they do spoil quickly ) scones were great! It was nice! Love the half and half and being able to just help myself to coffee etc! The room was very clean! Staff helpful! Great fridge. Very quiet! Highly recommend!
