The Fourth Lock Bed & Breakfast

Fablous accomodation. We had a lovely room overlooking the water. The room had everything you needed and the communal area was really nice. We also used the restaurant and the food was really good. All the staff we came in contact with were so friendly and really helpful. Especially when we went to check in as we has a small hidcup but was soon resolved by 2 of the staff quickly .. i would highly recommended this place to anyone.

The room was lovely and clean. The bed was very, very low and soggy and the word breakfast. They shouldn’t use that because all they’re giving you is some treats in a basket and a bit of fruit. There’s nothing nourishing about it.

The owner is very customer oriented and made us feel welcome. The food at the restaurant was some of the best we've had, especially the blackened haddock and the brisket burger. Kudos to the staff.

There was little to no sound proofing in the room and other guests were quite loud, we could hear full conversations late at night. We could also hear the sounds of the restaurant quite clearly below us. When the restaurant was busy, there was a sign for overflow parking nearby but there were no dedicated parking spots for people staying at the inn. We had to wait about 20 minutes until people from the restaurant left so we could have a parking spot close enough to load/unload our vehicle. Nice spot, very clean, overall enjoyed the stay

everything about the property was excellent except the mattresses. Recommend investing in something a little firmer so the guest doesn't feel like they are falling out of the bed. Loved the view, the restaurant convenience, excellent bathroom and a great room (The Thomas) for two couples travelling together.

My review is for the B&B accommodation. Didn't eat at the restaurant. The B&B has 3 rooms in total. We stayed in the Fletcher Room which is on the floor above the restaurant. There is another suite upstairs from ours, and being a wood building, we could clearly hear the floor creak and thud when people were walking around. The room is nicely furnished, has a queen bed and is air-conditioned. The bed was way too soft from what we are used to, and I got a stiff neck in the morning. No closet in the room except for a small rack with a couple of hangers. The common room has a fireplace, sofas, some books and board games. Nice view of the lake from the patio. Breakfast consists of muffins, fruits and granola bars, placed in a basket in the room. Coffee (K cups) is available in the common room. No staff is present in the B&B, and check-in is self-serviced with door codes provided for access. We never got the door code until we messaged the property on the day of check-in. I suspect the message was stuck at Expedia (through which we booked the room). The B&B is only a 10-minte drive to the airport, convenient for catching a morning flight out like we did.
