Block Island Beach House

Hotel was an amazing stay. The staff so friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the location and room views were spectacular! Highly recommend

It was just the right place and location for my family for a quick getaway. The Gothic was very cute and well suited for our short stay and our grown girls loved the bunks. Would have been nice to have some hospitality water bottles, snacks and tax in the room, but still a great 2 bedroom house

Main house was right on the beach- thought that was where we would be staying but we’re place in another building that was not on the beach- disappointed. Beach staff was excellent, very attentive.

Had to ask for different room -first room (403) was so so so small, only about two feet around the bed. Bathroom was a closet, unable to open door without hitting the bed! Barely able to turn around! Should not even be able to call it a room. Feel badly for whoever did end up in there. Could hear everything- the drunks on the porch outside our room at 1 in the morning, the very vocal lovemaking of another guest at 3 am, feel the the thump of the bass from the bar down on the next street- do not stay there if you expect to sleep.

We tried to touch base with a manager on multiple occasions prior to leaving the island but were told none were available. Good: The beach property was beautiful - and why we booked at the resort. Bad: Unfortunately, our tv sound did not work despite multiple attempts - which we ultimately overlooked. Thereafter, we went to the pool and people who were not resort guests were there - smoking, drinking full liquor bottles, taking full blown showers in the outdoor showers (shampoo, conditioner, using a razor), and to top it all off - a man (again, not a guest) undressed outside in front of everyone - including children. Again, we tried to overlook this and went to the beach instead. In the middle of our sleep a loud banging on our door startled us awake - twice. It sounded like it was going to break the door open. Eventually, found to be a local by staff who broke into the hotel (and up to the second floor to where our room was. Eventually the culprit was confronted by security (?police) outside of the hotel. I have emailed our concerns multiple times and no one will reply to this day.

Beautiful room, perfect location, staff wax very helpful and the food and drinks were delicious. The pool is relaxing and the chair service at the beach was simple and made for a wonderful experience.

I stayed at the Gables Poolside King Suite. It was nice to be down the street, next to the pool, in the quieter area. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the ferry and shops, dining, etc.
