Saxonville Hotel

Location and parking was just across the road. Breakfast was delicious and the local kippers stunning! Staff were lovely and chatted away.

A bit tired - small corridors and rather old fashioned.

Although we stayed just the one night in the Saxonville (only because we were en route to Norfolk) we thought the hotel was excellent. Our room was spacious, well appointed and tastefully decorated. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb and extremely good value and the ‘waited’ service at breakfast was a pleasant departure from the serve yourself buffet-style serveries you find in larger but not necessarily as nice hotels. Breakfast was excellent by the way. Further the staff were extremely pleasant and informative. We would not hesitate returning to the Saxonville if ever we are in Whitby again.

Loved table service, it gives a sense of caring and friendly service.

Evening meals could be earlier.

Breakfast was good but a bit formal although friendly. Close to cliff for a walk into town.

Constant beeping at night from outside, didn’t get a wink of sleep.
