Stayed here for a couple of nights our first visit. Hotel has a great car park with lots of space. Hotel is very traditional but that makes it charming. Hotel staff are all lovely. Waitress staff and housekeeping (new evening Waitress particularly great). Everyone takes the trouble to chat to you and nothing is too much trouble. Room 5 &7 perfect. Bright everything you need including a magnifying mirror on the dressing table and refreshments. Loved my room and the WiFi in the room worked well with a lovely hot shower. Meals in the restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast cooked to order but very quick and great choice. However we booked for the evening meal with a beautiful choice of about 4 or 5 for each course to choose from. Even better the menu changes every night. Food fabulous. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Good traditional hotel keeping up high standards of hospitality. Great choice at breakfast with full waitress service. Large room with comfy beds and plenty of storage. Spotlessly clean everywhere! Private Car parking (one of the main reasons we chose the hotel) Full length mirror (essential) Great extras touches i.e dressing gown and slippers plus a Magnifying hand mirror! About 15 - 20 minutes downhill walk into town (wrap up well if its cold/windy!) but plenty of taxis to get back up. £5 ish in the day. Not far from a stop for the tour bus thats hop on and off. Max price £10pp for 24 hour ticket.

Curtain in bathroom! blinds would be much better especially as the window is right next to the toilet. Evening meal was too late (earliest time is 7pm) we would have eaten there more often if it had been earlier! The Bar was very quiet, with no real atmosphere to encourage you to drink there. Maybe its busier later in the season

Lovely bedroom/bathroom, lots of little extras. Breakfast and staff exceptional. Private car parking., everything very clean, would highly recommend

Safe and large private car park. All meals were of excellent choice and quality, with impeccable Table Service. Room facilities were excellent. Comfortable Lounge. Pleasant walk into centre of Whitby.
