A maior parte do staff não está treinada para o atendimento ao cliente. Tivemos um problema com um réptil no interior do quarto. O problema foi detetado no check in, já a uma hora avançada da noite. A minha mulher (grávida) ficou um pouco assustada. Chamámos alguém para ajudar, mas a pessoa que chegou tinha também pânico de repteis e não ajudou. Fez ainda piadas de mau gosto sobre a situação e acabou por sair sem ajudar. O réptil acabou por se esconder num buraco por onde passam cabos e ficar no interior do quarto onde nós dormimos. No dia seguinte estava lá novamente. Sempre que solicitamos ajuda demoraram mais de meia hora a chegar. Nunca nos foi proposto mudar de quarto, nunca nos foi pedido desculpa e nunca nos foi dada qualquer compensação. Foi uma pena uma vez que a estadia tinha tudo para ser perfeita.

Very comfortable and spacious room and hotel, beautiful location, great spa area, a short cycle from Praia dos Brejos which was amazing and completely empty, and decent food. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There are a few areas that could use a bit of maintenance but it's generally in an excellent condition. The first hour on the hotel pedal bikes is free, after that you need to pay.

There is no denying it is a beautiful property, the architecture is lovely, the food mostly good, but I wouldn't say it is worth the money. The good bits: the staff was friendly, the property as mentioned is lovely. The room was pretty and they provided a cot and single bed for our children. The room service was hit and miss in terms of timings, however we were often in and out with baby naps so that wasn't their fault, although we have stayed at high end properties before that paid better attention to timings. The food was mostly good, although they couldn't really get the chips right for some reason, and a couple of times the meat/fish was overcooked. The breakfast is great though. If you are planning on self catering, be aware that the kitchens in the rooms (we were in a T1 townhouse) are not well equipped. The hob was temperamental, there was no colander (how else are you meant to drain rice or pasta?), and more importantly no oven gloves, so we had to use bathroom towels to get stuff out of the oven. No kitchen towels. Washing up liquid but no hand soap. No basics like olive oil either. There is a playground which is cute, but be aware the pools are cold (we went in May). We were told upon booking that the outdoor pool was between 22-24 degrees depending on time of year and that the spa pool would be 30 degrees. It was more like 21 degrees and 23 degrees respectively. The spa pool is also only open to families for 2 hours a day. I do understand not wanting to bother other guests, however it would have been nice to know this before our stay. Reception were vaguely apologetic and said they would see if they could do anything about it but we never heard back. I put all of this in an email to them and they never got back to me when they were helpful on email before our stay, which made me thing they didn't care. A bit of a shame. All in all, I would say it's beautiful but not worth the money. If you have smaller kids, it's not the best, but for bigger children who don't mind cold water, then maybe. I would say it's better for adults though, and I can see it would be amazing for a long weekend as a couple of with friends. I don't think you get loads for your money though.
