Fantastic visit for a girls night away. Beautiful location and fabulous property

We loved the space and location

There was nothing we didn't like

This is a great venue for a group. We had 4 families with kids ranging from 3-18. There is so much space for group dining, games and activities and lots of beds so sharing was minimal. The grounds surrounding the property had lots of safe space for kids to play. There were lovely walks around and a couple of old style pubs within walking distance. The kitchen was really well equipped.

Not enough towels provided for the number of guests. A couple of the showers could have done with a clean

I rented the castle for my wife as an anniversary surprise. Large enough for big groups, but we had a great time.

The castle was absolutely beautiful – spotless and well-kept. The host was very friendly, quick to respond, and even helped us arrange transportation to and from the castle. It’s definitely a place I would recommend for groups! The cows and horses nearby added to the charming, countryside atmosphere. Everything worked perfectly, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The area was very peaceful and quiet – a wonderful stay overall!

Skryne Castle is a fantastic venue for a party or gathering. It is absolutely stunning, inside and out. Great value. The location, surrounded by peaceful fields but within an hour drive of Dublin, is idyllic. I only wish we had had more time to explore the local area. I would book again for a similar event in a heartbeat and look forward to doing so some day. Everybody was in awe.

My only complaint, if you can call it that, was the hot tub. It was too grimy to use and just completely ill-maintained. I would have booked it even without the hot tub and in the end, it made little difference to our night as we had too much fun to miss it! That would be my one and only note, if you're going to advertise a hot tub, it should be in ready-to-use condition. Everything else about the castle was fantastic so it's a pity to even have to mention any downside.
