Isla Bank House

A beautifully restored home in lovely gardens, this is a perfect location to explore the area. The hosts served up delicious meals along with local tips. Very much enjoyed our time even though it was short.

The house was charming, pretty and clean. Close to the train station, the distilleries and only a few minutes walk into the town, but still felt like a peaceful retreat on the manor grounds. The owners Nick and Vena were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Amazing food and bonus points for a great whisky selection.

Excellent food. Lovely house. The owners have to work incredibly hard to provide this level of attention for guests. I really enjoyed exploring the grounds. The vegetable garden looks as interesting as the tastes we were able to sample. I loved putting ‘our pin’ on the visitor board; thought that such a lovely touch. Loved the style of the place altogether!

Beautiful house and grounds, very conveniently located for distillery tour without need to drive! Very welcoming, and lovely dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend.

The Big tub. Comfy bed. The room was beautiful.

It was cold. Unheated. Not possible to open any window at all. But most of all we missed the warm host we always have meet in UK. Vena & Nick. We really wish you find that. The burger really missed something juicy. A slice of onion or tomato. Just at simple bun from the supermarket with a piece of bacon, ts of ketchup and that’s all.
