Windy Ridge Kandy

This was our second visit, love the place! Beautiful views and a peaceful environment with comfortable rooms. The owners are very helpful and the location is convenient.

This is one of the most beautiful accomodations we have stayed in. It is comfortable, super quiet and spacious. We felt instantly at home, and the land itself is luscious, like being in a jungle with so much bird life to watch. The owners live on-site in a separate home, so you feel the benefits of homeliness and privacy at the same time. The breakfast is delicious, and the views into Kandy’s jungle side are gorgeous. The bed and bathroom are super comfortable. The owners have thought of everything to make you feel at home.

インテリアがとても素敵にまとめられていて、古都キャンディの雰囲気も相まって、とっても居心地の良い空間でした。見た目ばかりの家具もしくは反対に機能的であればよい、という家具ではなく、主が使うために誂えたようなちょうどよい家具やバティック、照明は、一貫したセンスをお持ちの方なんだな、という印象でした。シャワーの水量も十分でした。朝食もホットサンドイッチと焼き立てのワッフルがとってもおいしかったです。子供たちもサンドイッチもワッフルもとっても美味しそうに食べていました。セナカさんに、朝食前に近くのSri Maha Bodhi Viharayaに参拝に伺いたい、と相談したところ、子連れだと歩いていくのは大変、ということですぐにトゥクトゥクを手配してくださったのも大変助かりました。朝靄の中でみるキャンディの街並みもとても幻想的で、忘れがたい景色になりました。

よくなかった点ではないのですが、チェックイン時間は18時半までです。事前にご連絡いただいていたにも関わらず、私のミスでチェックイン時間を見落としていたのですが、予めセナカさんと連絡をとっていたところ、ご厚意で20時まで待っていただき、大変ありがたかったです。チェックイン時間についても、事前連絡すれば相談に応じてもらえるのだと思います。遅れてついてからも、宿泊の施設利用について最大限便宜を図ってくださり、オーナーさんのお心遣いに感謝しています。

Host not friendship, not a nice guy. Room has many ants. Payment terms is accept credit card,and didn't need any extra charges. But when we pay by credit card. host said need to add 3.5%.

Great hotel. Very clean and the host and manager was very welcoming and gave a good introduction even recommending what we could see in the limited time we had.

Located on a steep hill and a little far from the city centre. Otherwise great hotel and views.

Hotel molto carino, che mi ha ricordato una country house inglese. Camere molto comode e spaziose, gli arredamenti sono tenuti benissimo. Il personale è molto gentile e l’ho at mi ha aiutato nel preparare la colazione gluten free per mia moglie.

Buona la pulizia (forse la migliore trovata nei cinque alberghi che abbiamo visto in Sri Lanka) ma si può fare sicuramente di più; lontano dal centro ma con un buon ristorante vicino raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi.
