Spruce Pine Inn

The property is lacking, almost a "Closed down during the 60's" feel to it. There is no fluff to this place at all. The bare minimum. The Room: No smell of any kind. Beds were new, mattress & foam topper, clean sheets. The spread, outdated.The floors had been updated, the other furniture not. My room did not have a closet for hanging anything, not even a rack. The tub, had not been updated, but the shower was hot enough and a strong water pressure. Mini fridge, only. No cups, no coffee pot, towels lacking, but clean. A/C worked great! The saying you get what you pay for, is true. The guy that checked us in, was friendly, but looked as though he hadn't showered in days..literally. So if you have high standards..dont go here. If your on a buget and just need hot shower & a bed for night, this will work.

Such a cute place!! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, linens were clean, overall it was such a cute, simple little place to rest at on our trip. :-) Will definitely be back for sure!

I went there to see real estate with an agent. My phone was not working and I went to the lobby to ask them to call my agent. The guy at check in was rude as hell would not let me leave a message and their are no phones in the rooms. My realtor was thrown off of the property and I drove an hour to his office as their was no way for me to reach him. I stayed 4 days. They did not clean the room or make the bed in those 4 days. When I went to check in their was no one on duty and another guest called to let them know I was their. A half hour later someone showed up. My room on the ground floor was taken as they have a drop box with everyones key in it and one guest took my room by mistake. I'm 65 and have a bad back so dragging things up and down stairs was more than an inconvienence. The toilet which flushed slowly from the first day clogged the night before I checked out. There are no places to hang or unpack your clothes as their is no closet, hangers, or dresser in the room. The A'C did not cool the room and the refrigerator was moisy as all get out. Their was not even a plastic cup in the room for brushing ones teeth/. The worst rental experience in my life.

Nice spot for a stay as you travel the North Carolina mountains, or a place for travelling workers. In town spot. Greenway, river, railroad train runs through town, nice little town that continues on after the ore mining era.

Very noisy and tv didn’t work not to mention the two junk guys drinking beer when we pull up and took my information… is this what this world coming too very noisy early in the morning before check out

They have a little coffee room but there was no coffee the first day and there was coffee the second day but the door was locked. Sad

Stayed here for our visit on the Blue Ridge parkway. Clean and simple room, did the job.

I mean...it's a bed. There's not much I can say about this place. It's a bed and toilet if you are in a pinch and need a place to stay. It's old, rundown and frankly a little scary.

It was what I expected for cheap stay in which all I wanted was heat/air, fridge, tv, bed and shower. Bed was beyond more comfortable than most places I've stayed at.

The cleanness is not good. We found hair on the beds. Also, the sink and tub water did not drain and they should be fixed. We did not see any staff, and there was no breakfast in the morning.
