Spruce Pine Inn

When we pulled up, this place needs serious work on the outside. No one in office when time to check in. He was 10 minutes away. The shock was the room. Very nice inside. Had mini fridge, comfortable bed, night stand with lamp.

If you enjoy a nostalgic experience, you will enjoy this place. It is not meant to be a fancy hotel. It is clean, quiet, friendly, convenient, and old. It has a lot of character and you will have a wonderful experience. I recommend it.

Not a good place. Very old and outdated. Only had an overhead light, no lamp, no chair no place to put luggage except on the floor, no where to hang up a coat only one small nightstand. AC wasn’t very cold. No ice machine. The coffee wasn’t ready till after 7:00 AM & only powdered cream and a small pastry. I don’t recommend and I won’t be back.

Welcome to the country. If your expecting a 5 star hotel. You will be disappointed. This is a quaint little hotel family owned operation. We enjoyed our stay.

My room had issues with water seeping out of the floor. There was no chair or nightstand in the room. They did move me to another that was better after the first night. The breakfast consisted of coffee. I never saw any other food. On the bright side, the beds were very comfortable but everything else was old and outdated, except a flat screen tv.

Liked that it was clean and staff was friendly! Did not like the fact that "breakfast included" was nothing more than coffee and a mini muffin or mini fruit pie of some sort. Did not like that there are NO microwaves or coffee pots in the rooms! Pretty much a standard these days.

There was absolutely no housekeeping available during our 4 day stay. We had to beg for towels to shower daily.

Arrived about 3:30 Friday, got into the room. The room looked as if they attempted a remodel and never finished it. Smoke detector was appart, outlet covers were missing and the bathroom door handle was loose. Now for the bathroom, if I were any bigger I could not use it. It is a extra small room with barley enough room for me to stand In front of the comode and close the door. Had people up stairs that did not know how to walk gentle, all night long. The office closed at dusk so could not complain. Now for the bed, the best was a memory foam mattress on a cheap uneven frame. Could not lay flat as the center of the frame was higher than the rest of the bed. This places could be alot better with just minute upkeep. Will never stay there again.

It was much better than what I thought based on one star comments. It’s clean, not smelly. The sheets are microfiber with wrinkles, not cotton, but they’re cleaned well.
