The Prince Consort

The bedroom was clean and bigger than I thought, the presentation was lovely with towels rolled on the beds with little bottles of shower gel and shampoo on the top. There was biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate and bottles of water too. The food in the bar was restaurant standard and such big portions

If you tried to leave room quietly you couldn't as door was sticking and outer door similar.

Amazing food, quiet location, friendly staff

After the first time we stayed there, we decided that it was going to be our place to stay every time. The staff are fantastic, the hotel is warm, welcoming and very clean. The breakfast is always gorgeous and sets you up for the day. We can't fault the place or it's team, we look forward to staying and will be there again in August.

Nothing, really enjoy going down

Stayed at the Prince Consort for the first time for 2 nights in room 4. The room with ensuite was clean, nicely presented and had two comfortable single beds.The tea and coffee tray was well stocked. The breakfast choice was very good and the food was plentiful and nicely cooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The only issues I had was the tv in the room would come on initially then go to a blank screen? Also the room emergency light has an extremely bright green light. It's not very noticeable in the day time but it's a piercing green light during the night time. I did report both of the issues with hotel staff. Although both issues were a little annoying, overall my stay was an enjoyable one.

Great little pub, restaurant with accommodation to the rear of the pub lovely friendly owners/staff fantastic full English breakfast,comfy bed has everything you need and some little extras. We stayed in room 1 which was a twin bed as that’s all they had left but it was more than adequate for our needs we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Southampton visiting our friends great value for money.
