Hotel El Rancho

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 3 years traveling through. This year was very disappointing. As one of the other posters mentioned, all the towels and linens were stained. None of the little extras they had in the past, I.e. Nice soaps, shampoo, Kleenex, water. The room was damp, and had a musty smell, and if I am not mistaken mold on the ceiling. I have always stayed in building B, this year in A. Not sure if that makes a difference. And to top it off, no longer pet friendly. I had to do some talking for them to let me stay with my dog. Never a problem in the past.....so may have to go else where now.

The hotel is reasonably priced, but the first room we were in had no hot water, no glasses, only 2 towels of which one was badly stained. We were told the restaurant was open until 9 and then they closed at 7.when we asked for glasses we got 2 styrofoam ones. I complained about the stained towel and got another towel that was almost as bad. Room was fairly clean but it has not been swept behind the bathroom door. I was really disappointed as the reviews on booking.com gave this hotel a 4 star. It barely deserves a 2.

Talk about bang for your buck. This hotel is right off the highway. Rooms are very nicely decorated, comfortable beds, two queen size, fridge, quality soaps, water, coffee, blow dryer, Internet, even a pack of Kleenex. Oh yes, breakfast included! AND is pet friendly....all for 490 pesos. I plan my trip to stay at this place. This is just 100 pesos more than the RV park I stayed in. Very impressed.
