Campbell Cottage B&B

Anthea was very welcoming and a great host. Best night sleep we’ve had so far followed by a lovely breakfast. Great location for restaurant options in the old quarter. Kobe & Izzy were adorable.

Eine sehr liebe und herzliche Gastgeberin. Die Hunde waren sehr lustig. Das Frühstück war unglaublich liebevoll und gut.

We had a wonderful experience at this lovely b&b in Nanaimo. We didn’t want to leave. Anthea is such a great hostess and served a delightful breakfast. The best part was the conversations over breakfast and the local knowledge that Anthea shared with us. Her gardens are beautiful and the facilities just what we needed. We’d love to come back.

So many b&bs around the world now have commercial operators, where you receive a pin code to enter. No breakfast. No conversations. This fortunately isn’t one of them. It is a real gem !

Lovely proprietor and very comfortable bed.

She has 2 dachshunds which I liked because I am a dog person but if you are not this is not the lace for you.

Anthea is a lovely lady who clearly enjoys hosting people in her home. She knows about the area and has great suggestions depending on the guest’s interests

Breakfast was not included during this extended stay. The host was marvelous - a treasure trove of information and she makes the best coffee on the island. Her home is comfortable and homey. There is plenty of space to do work - essentially you have your own bathroom, bedroom - gorgous garden and it is February - and sitting area/office space. It is within walking distance to the old quarter and several parks including waterfront.

I am very content.

Nella struttura non abbiamo alloggiato perchè al nostro arrivo sulla porta abbiamo trovato un cartello che ci invitava a cercare una struttura alternativa per il nostro soggiorno. La struttura è una casa privata con il numero molto piccolo posizionato su un albero vicino e l'insegna è caduta in terra poggiata sul prato. Siamo arrivati 5 minuti oltre le diciotto perchè cercavamo la struttura e le indicazioni fornite da maps portavano in una strada vicina. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo suonato il campanello, provato a telefonare senza ricevere nessuna risposta. la cosa più spregevole è stata che all'interno della struttura era presente qualcuno ma non ha risposto.

Excellent location just 2 blocks from the Old City Quarter and convenient for the ferry. Clean and comfortable room and a very good breakfast (the landlady’s homemade muesli was exceptional, I had to ask her for the recipe). This accommodation is possibly not suitable for people who dislike dogs, but if you do, the two miniature dachshunds Olly and Izzy are a huge bonus! The landlady Anthea gave us some great tips for our travel in Vancouver island.
