Quiet, comfortable, lush garden for relaxing conversation. Delightful dachshunds.

Campbell Cottage was a lovely place to stay as we passed through Nanaimo. The room was comfortable, the bathroom well stocked, the breakfast delicious, the garden and chickens fun to see, the little dogs adorable, and the host kind and helpful.

Nothing. All was good.

Good old fashioned bed and breakfast. Anthea was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb. The two dachshunds were very cute and mischievous. We had a private bathroom in the adjoining room.

Be aware that owner has dogs (they are friendly and honestly not an issue) so if thats a problem this might not be the place for you.

A great room-in-someones-house type B&B as a welcome and well treated guest. Her little dachshund dogs are super adorable and visited for attention after I made it clear that I was happy to give all the pats. The back garden was lovely and we had a really good meal just a couple blocks away. Her breakfast was exactly as in the picture and very tasty with lots of choice.

If you are looking for complete isolation and to avoid any chatting, probably not the best option for you. Also I would not recommend it to someone who hates dogs, but if you are iffy on dogs, I wouldn't be worried. The miniature dachshunds are cute, about the weight of a pack of hot dogs and the shape of a hot dog too. Good dogs to avoid triggering any fears.

The host was friendly and helpful. The beautiful garden. The adorable dachshunds. The clean room and comfy bed.

Everything was great.

The property was spacious and conveniently located.
