The place was clean.

The host never introduced themselves by giving their name. The messages we received seemed like an AI generated robot. No human connection. Our son stopped over for a half hour in the middle of the day and I received a condemning message of “no visitors allowed”. No soap or shampoo or hand towel in the bathroom.

I was in Chicago for a trade show at McCormick Place. It was close by so catching a Lyft of Uber was easy and affordable. The neighborhood feels safe, although it is a little older, you still don't feel unsafe there. It is very quiet. For me, there was no issue with sharing the bathroom or having other people there. No shoes worn in the home also was fantastic because not only did it cut down on the mess it also makes it quieter. The pillows are great and the bed is comfortable.

Nothing. I liked nothing about this place or their business practices.

The fact that these people are total thieves when mistakes happen in the booking and they will steal your money with their bogus policies and generic rude disrespectful conduct. They refused to refund my $800+ when Booking.com changed the amount of people in my reservation from 3 to 2. I didnt notice it happened until it was too late. I tried to explain it within 10 minutes of seeing the error. The refused to refund me so I could re-book. Just kept saying book another room for my minor child for another $800. They offered no solution to the problem and then requested another $200 for the refundable deposit. Ridiculous. I would never book with these people or any other Vrbo type businesses. Not to mention it's a shared common area and shared bathroom. Move on past this one.

Hello there, the issue I had with the property itself wasn’t the property itself. It was the way the landlord conducted the business. After paying $150 for a hotel room, I was asked to pay an additional $200 deposit, resulting in a total of $350 for my room. However, I felt that the information provided was intentionally misleading. The advertised rate was $150 per room, not the actual $350 I paid. I wanted Booking.com to be more transparent about the actual cost, which is $350 per room, not the advertised $150. I believe the information provided was intentionally misleading and deceptive. They tell you the security deposit once you’ve paid, and as you know, there’s no refund, so your student having to pay $200, which was more than the room rate.

no washcloths and several rules about when one can and can’t make noise which I found to be fantasizing tiresome the whole set up felt wrong

The pictures posted of the facility did not accurately portray the place we stayed. One window didn't close. The microwave had to be pulled open with my finger nails because the button to open it got jammed when pressed. The outlets in our room didn't work. There was no way to adjust the heat. One of the lamps in the bedroom had no bulb and the other didn't work, presumably because of the lack of electricity in the bedroom.
