Extended Stay America Select Suites - Jacksonville - Lenoir Avenue East

The rooms were very clean Ms.Viola and Seteria are awesome. The hotel has made a few changes since my last visit. But the front desk staff accommodated as needed. I wish that the company would show some appreciation to the staff far as renovations. The building is old but when you have a team such as these women it makes things much smoother.

I came here on a business trip. The facility is situated in a good location, however, my experience was terrible. I wanted to leave after the first night. My key did not work the entire duration of my stay and it was difficult finding anyone to help me. I came back to the facility to find my door wide open on a few occasions and no worker in sight. My belongings could have gotten stolen and/or my safety jeopardized. I called the help line and they did not answer. I do not recommend this place.

It has curtains!!! So happy since I could close out all the lighting outside! Not as clean per say but clean enough for the price. I felt safe. It does have a kitchen which was perfect since I don’t really like to eat out so I cooked.

Hard to find staff and they were not available most of my stay.

Better cleaning bad service

The only thing to like is the fact we were able to get a full refund issued.

The hotel looks amazing from the app. But don’t let pictures fool you. We booked online and paid ahead. When we arrived, we were told to stay at the property we had to pay $100 deposit fee which is refundable in 3-5 business days. Not including the price you pay for the night. We were unable to cancel so we went ahead and stayed anyways. First things first we wanted to shower and clean up after a long day. The tub filled with water as we showered. Drain was clogged. The towels and rags had Someone’s hair in the fibers. We brushed it off and continued on to bed. We turned the air conditioner on in the room and immediately noticed it wasn’t blowing cold air. We called the number provided and someone outside the facility answered and assured us maintenance would be there shortly. We waited 30 minutes for no one to show up. We then walked to front desk, which is closed after hours and re opens at 10 am. There was a different number provided to call for after hours. When we called, a lady at the hotel answered and told us there was no maintenance there to help us. We then asked to be moved to another room. She informed us there were no available rooms and there was nothing she could do. I called the first number again in hopes to reach someone who may could help. This very nice lady answered and said she was so very sorry for what was going on and that we had 2 options…try to tough it out and stay in the heat or leave the hotel and come back in the morning to request a full refund as we weren’t able to stay. We then decided that it was best for us to leave and book a different hotel due to the fact I am 2 weeks from my due date. We come back to the hotel the following morning and turned in our keys and spoke with the assistant manager who was very upset that we had been through such a terrible experience and she gladly refunded our full price for the room and our deposit. It will take 3-5 business days to receive.

I did not realize that they no longer had the continental breakfast I went downstairs about 6:30 this morning and there was no coffee and the clerical deaths or reception desk was closed I didn't realize they had started closing at 10:00 p.m.

DIDNT have Breakfast. And folks was filming me showering and rapist was onsite woth drugs.

Convenient location. Competitive price (as listed before all the extras)

Front desk very disorganized and not friendly. Demanded an extra $25 to check in one hour early even through room was ready. Demanded an extra (refundable) $100 security deposit. Not a pleasant experience.

Beware pet owners. All Extended Stays are NOT pet friendly. We had confirmed our stay 3 times. We arrived at 11:00 p.m. after a 12-hour drive which 1 of those hours was sitting in traffic for an hour. The hotel was locked up, so I used the phone that was in-between the doors. A woman finally came out. Being exhausted, wanting to go to sleep we were greeted with a woman wagging her finger stating oh NO NO NO. Pets are not allowed. After arguing back and forth she called her manager who could of cared less. She then called the assistant manager who must live there. He came down with a t shirt and told us to get off his property. I have never, ever experienced anything like this. We had stayed here last year with our pets and had no problem. The staff last year was wonderful. Do not stay here, scary experience.
