The rooftop view, the decoration and theme of the room. The panoramic view from the bed.

Improving the bed would make it a 10. Also the 2 separate single bed blankets don't feel very romantic.

"Views of the lagoon."

Outstanding views in a quiet neighbourhood. Friendly attentive host. Beautifully furnished room. Frankly I'd stay here rather than the Cipriani which had mediocre views compared to this!

We stayed in the penthouse suite and the view over the lagoon towards Venice is truly beautiful. The outside space is spacious and the furniture is clean and comfortable, with lovely potted plants adding to the pleasant ambiance. Indeed, the entrance to the property has attractive greenery and plants that are well cared for. The suite has a nautical theme throughout with lovely detail and presented to a high standard. Practically, plenty of space, comfortable double bed and helpful additions such as a coffee machine and small fridge. The maid service was unexpected and appreciated. Having stayed on Venice Lido a number of times over the years, the suite was comfortably the best accommodation we have stayed in.

"Nice but cold"

We had no hot water for 80% of the stay, we did try reception but got nowhere and so we emailed, it put a real dampner on our stay. No email response, even as yet. Would be reluctant to recommend it unfortunately.

The apartment has a great terrace with an extraordinary view. It is very close to the ferry station. you need 15-20 minutes to Venezia. I would strongly recommend this great place in a beautiful island Lido.

"Beautiful apartment and location with some problems."

The location was magnificent overlooking the lagoon with views to Venice. It was a very pleasant short walk to the Vaporetto and a short hop to St Marks. The apartment was furnished and designed with impeccable taste. The terrace is a delight and well furnished. We would have liked to use a huge outdoor sofa but its rain cover had a massive pool of water which the owners had not bothered to remove before our visit. There was a pergola with an electric roof but we didn't discover that the switch was inside the apartment till the second day.

I would have liked to have been shown around the apartment so as not to have to experiment with light switches and high tech doors and windows. However we were just handed the keys and had to work everything out for ourselves. Considering the nightly rate I was expecting a higher level of service. The main problem was the heating and cooling. We were given no explanation of how to control heating. This was important because the apartment has so much glass and heats up like a greenhouse even in mild spring weather. There were two AC units but the owners had removed both controls so our last night was miserable as we couldn't sleep with the heat. We were at a loss to understand why AC controls would be taken away and replaced with a notice asking guests to limit the use of air conditioning. We tried three times to find someone at reception on the day before we left and we had to message through the booking.com app to sort out check out. On arrival we had told to ring a bell if reception was closed but we had no luck using it. The owners provided cups and wine glasses. They might consider installing a small butler's sink for washing these as we had to use the wash hand basin. Also there were no tea towels provided so no way of drying crockery as we did not fancy using our bathroom towels. There was a small fridge but is was full of the usual overpriced mini bar products leaving no room for anything guests might like to keep cool. The owners also need to sort out an ant problem. We found three ants in our bed and came back on our last day to find a few dozen ants in the bathroom feasting on a small drop of toothpaste.
