Swell Motel

There was so much to do at the motel!! Kayaks, bikes, swimming pool, picnic tables, fish cleaning station, free ice. It was fun and we loved our stay there. We will definately return!

Upon arrival, we loved the cozy vibes- with the picnic tables and bicycles. There were also kayaks to use which were very nice. When we got in the room it was very clean and was as described. The bar with stools along the wall was a great touch in lieu of a table that you have to work around. All in all our stay was very nice! Also, loved the live music in the evenings!!!!! 🫶🏻

So we are three ladies, we are not fishermen., so not being able to take the cooler inside the room was very inconvenient. To put what little we had in the refrigerator. We had to leave the cooler outside the door and either run back and forth to put it in the refrigerator or have someone stand and be the go-between. I understand the reasoning but I think there probably should be a size limit to that rule, but we didn't even have ice. We just had ice packs so there would have been no leaking on the floor at all for us. Other than that, the $50 fee for the towels if the stains didn't come out, seemed kind of over the top. They do make black washcloths just for those kinds of reasons. Just a FYI. Other than those two things, we loved everything else about it! We even understood the hair dryer being kept at the office, totally get it. We did have to use it but we boxed it back up and took it back to the office. We did not leave it in the room. Thank you so much!

Friendly and helpful staff, fish cleaning station, and the outside cooking area are a bonus! will be back soon for sure.. Even some of the other renters were friendly and fished with one of our neighbors.

The owner was extremely nice and courteous. She was personable and talked to us for 20 minutes before continuing on cleaning the rooms and changing out linens. The rooms were clean and well taken care of, the bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Very dog friendly. Staff friendly. Clean.

Scratchy sheets. Uncomfortable hard bed.
