Sol Tenerife

Fantastic location, lovely hotel, clean and good really nice and staff were very helpful

A short break at Sol Tenerife. I chose the hotel for the location, next to the sea but knowing that it was also next to Veronica’s, so wasn’t going to be the quietest location. The hotel was very clean, food at a good standard. The decor is dated and a bit tired in places, but I’m not complaining given the price I paid and the views from the balcony. Entertainment in the evenings was good. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Rooms were very clean and cleaned every day. Location is perfect for being close to the strip and by the sea

Modern travellers carry lots of gadgets and there was only one electric socket in the room.

10 day all inclusive holiday. Hotel in nice sea front location with good views from a sea facing room. Close to lots of bars and restaurants very laidback to very noisy depending on your choice. Drinks were very expensive compared to over local bars so being all inclusive was good value. Food available all day in main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snack bar during the day which was convenient. Food in restaurant was very good for things like salads, fruit, bread and pudding choice. A varied selection of hot food in buffet but overall at times a bit tasteless and meat and fish were usually over cooked. Hotel has 2 nice pools but a lack of sufficient sun beds. People were queuing up at 8.30 am to reserve one before pool area opened up at 9 am. Then there was a bad stampede to get one line a swarm of locusts armed with towels to grab one or two and all gone by 9.15 am. After which after place towels they would disappear for hours at at end. If my travelling partner wasn’t an early riser we never would have got one the whole holiday! During the course of the day there were lots of activities using the pools such as water aerobics accompanied by load music and shouting instructors which was good for the active but annoying for those who want to relax and nod off. Various stag and hen groups turned up over 10 days which were loud at times which didn’t bother me but might put off those with families and younger children. Overall the all inclusive was good value.

Great location. 10 mins from Safari Centre and 1 minute for the chaos of "veronicas". You need to try and get a room in "block B" (not A) in the building and also pay extra for the sea view, preferably at level 6 or higher too. Its basically much better all round BUT if you were in Block A and level 2 (eg) you balcony will get pumping tunes in your bedroom tell 3am every morning.

Hotel tired & not updated in a very long time. Food cold. Bed not comfortable.
