Hilton Long Island/Huntington

This was a terrible experience. The air conditioning wasn't working in the hotel. My room was extremely hot as was the lobby. Each day over breakfast I had to plan to wear temporary clothes so I could change before going to the office. Why? I was sweating so profusely because of the heat in the atrium. Additionally, my room didn't have adequate wifi. After a long discussion with the front desk, they weren't able to help me. They gave me a phone number to a help desk, written on a tiny post-it. The help desk could not help me but identified that my room did NOT have a wifi access point. My signal was pinging between room 510 and 513. They escalated the ticket to level two support and assured me they would call me back in 30 minutes. They never called. I couldn't work in the lobby because of the excess heat. I worked huddled on the floor in my room where I could get two bars of wifi access. I called the Hilton guest number and the customer service couldn't help me because I was an active customer. The gym was inadequate and extremely hot. Additionally it was not well equipped. There were no floor or yoga mats available in the gym. I had to bring towels from my room to coushin the floor so I could do stretches. The elevators were scary shaky and smelled of urine. The doors in the hallways were propped open with rolled up towels. Many rooms were missing room numbers and the numbers instead were scrawled in with sharpie marker. The curtains in my room barely closed. The walls were paper thin. So thin that I could hear both sides of my neighbors facetime conversation. My room door didn't go all the way to the floor, leaving about 2.5 inches of gap so hallway light flooded my room. The water pressure was terrible. The water smelled metalic and sour. The hotel lobby store was open inconsistenly. Given all that, at least it was expensive at more than $400 a night. I cut my trip short by a night because I couldn't stay there another second. I hope I NEVER have to stay here again.

I show up at 10:30pm and they say the air conditioning is not working. Ok, no worries, can you put me up in a local Hilton property at the same rate. They say no we can not guarantee that. So at this time of night I am stuck. There is no issue with the maintenance issue, they happen. How it was handled is a different story. They could have contacted me prior to arrival and let me know they were having issues so I could make other arrangements. Then they say they can get me a fan, of course when I called several times the front desk does not answer. So they charge me full price for service they did not provide. Very poor management of an issue. Could have been handled so much different. Will never stay at this property again and hope they can hire better problem solvers, issues do arise how you handle them is the real skill.

There was no air conditioning and it was really hot because of this. The room fridge didn't work. The shower water was cold.

Everything seemed good, the staff were cordial. Christina was exceptionally nice, helpful and she had the best customer service I have experienced in years. She is a star. Unfortunately though the Air Conditioning was out throughout my stay and management did not help.

Christina at the front desk was super accommodating! She made it feel like a home away from home and made sure any issues were promptly taken care of.

I wanna thank Loudes for always providing excellent hospitality and welcoming service aldi wanna then the other staff Hicham,Gus and the guys at the restaurant Negasi and Remy i appreciate everything you have done for me I’ve been coming here for years one of my favorite hotels in Long Island

When I arrived and went in my room I was disappointed and not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and smell . I went to the front desk where Christina was a huge help and place me in another room she was great and very nice
