First time staying in Toronto, and unfortunately my experience with the hotel was disappointing. I needed the airport shuttle to return to the hotel, so I called for assistance. The night staff who answered the phone was very rude and unhelpful. As a guest arriving in an unfamiliar city, I expected better customer service and a more professional attitude. The hotel itself may be fine, but the poor treatment I received from the night staff left a negative impression on my stay.

The bed was very comfortable. And good coffee. Even though my flight arrived very late, they did arrange a free shuttle for me.

Bathroom had a used washcloth still hanging from the shower rod (not used by me), the phone didn't work and there was dried blood on the cord. There were stains on the lampshade. The impression was that I overpaid for a room in this condition. When I arrived, I wanted to tip the shuttle driver but didn't have small Canadian bills or coins. I asked the man at the desk if he might approximate an exchange of $5 US to Canadian. He gave me exactly $5 Canadian knowing he was shorting me. I realize the front desk of Comfort Inn is not a currency exchange office, so I take responsibility for being in this position, but it's an integrity thing. I won't stay there next time I'm in town.

The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was very clean and good value for the money. Good breakfast, everything great overall.
