Days Inn by Wyndham Banning Casino/Outlet Mall

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I get that a $100 motel room isn't going to get you the Ritz, but where to start... We arrived at about 2130, not exactly the middle of the night, but the reception was locked with (what appeared bizarrely but for which we soon understood the reason) a huge piece of chain. The reception manager refused to open and instead talked to us through a serving hatch, like we were in prison. Or he was. Who knows. We soon saw why he was so keen to have the hotel secured like Guantanamo Bay, there was a collapsed man lying across the stairwell to our room, moaning and surrounded by drugs paraphernalia (not that I'm an expert). I guess Days Inn's policy is to leave these kind of things to their guests to sort out, not their hotel staff. As for the room itself, it was dirty and hardly anything worked. There were two tiny bars of soap (as opposed to shower gel / shampoo which most hotels provide). The door security lock was broken off, suggesting somebody had previously tried to force entry, broken it, and Days Inn had just left it as someone else's problem. The bath/shower looked like it had last been cleaned a week beforehand. We went to the reception at about 7.15, having been told that breakfast would be served at 7. The same guy appeared after about 5 mins of knocking at the (still chained up) door. He clearly had just got of bed. He shuffled around behind the counter and put out 3 yogurts and opened a carton of pastries from Walmart or somewhere, and put the contents on a counter. I asked if there was cereal. "No". Coffee? "No". Any spoons with which to eat the yoghurt? "No spoon". As 2 final notes, the toilet was actually leaking something across the bathroom floor when flushed. This had clearly been going on for a long time, judging by the blue crusty slime all around the base. Finally, the wooden door bar was almost disintegrated and completely loose.

It was cool that they were located in a spot where we can in and out of the parking area. Overall our experience was ok. Customer service was awesome, just do not think we will come back if the rooms are not going to be clean or the sheets being stained or with burn holes in them.

The floor was filthy. Microwave wasn't plugged in, short cord. Had to put it on a chair by a plug. TV's sound didn't work. We asked for help but staff never showed. There was a spot for tissue but they don't carry tissue. Shower water occasionally went ice cold during our showers.

Dear Wyndahm I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Wyndham Days Inn in Banning, CA. Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I feel that it’s important to share the details with you in hopes of resolving the situation appropriately. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how unclean my room was. I had never encountered such a poorly maintained room. Before I could even relax or lay down, I had to spend a significant amount of time cleaning the room just to feel comfortable. The level of cleanliness was completely unacceptable and made it impossible for me to feel at ease during my stay. Additionally, during my second day at the hotel, the weather was warmer than usual, which exacerbated the issue of the malfunctioning air conditioning unit in my room. I was unable to relax or cool off, and I was constantly sweating in what should have been a comfortable environment. When I requested to be moved to a room with a properly functioning A/C unit, I was told that no such accommodation would be made, which was incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, the TV in my room was also not functioning properly. The volume would not work at all, so I was unable to even enjoy some basic entertainment in my room. This compounded my already poor experience. Given the series of issues I encountered during my stay, I would like to request a refund or an accommodation at another location to make up for the inconvenience. I understand that problems can arise, but the overall lack of assistance, uncleanliness, and malfunctioning amenities were completely unacceptable. Please let me know how we can proceed to resolve this matter. I believe a refund, or at the very least a transfer to another Wyndham property, would be a fair resolution.
