Hampton Inn & Suites Chillicothe

As Hilton honors members, we often stay in Hampton Inn’s throughout the country. because they are usually a decent hotel. This is by far the worst one we’ve stayed in. For starters, we have in our portfolio that we prefer an upper level room with a king bed. We reserved a king bed, but were told if we want a king bed we would have to be on the main floor because they are “full”. We opted for two queen beds on the second floor so we would not have to be on the main level. When we checked out at 6:45 am the next morning we expected to see a full parking lot since they are “full” but instead saw a parking lot that was half empty. Our room: we paid over $279 for this room, which is quite a bit more than most Hampton Inns we’ve stayed in. We expected it to be nice for the price, however that wasn’t our experience. First we were not able to get on WiFi as we usually do with our last name and room number. We looked on our keycard to see if there were instructions but nothing. Went to call the front desk to ask but the phone in the room did not even turn on. Called them from my cell to find out we need a “special code” that no one informed us we needed. Let the desk clerk know our phone doesn’t work, (was not offered a working phone btw). The room was small, no closet, just a pretend closet with a curtain over it (we added a photo) no microwave, room was not nicely decorated as most Hampton Inns are, and we could literally hear every footstep the people in the room above us made, we have never had that at a Hampton inn hotel before ever! The breakfast was decent, but not better than any of the other Hampton nuns that are not as pricey. Definitely not worth the high price we paid for a one night stay in a low budget hotel.

Older hotel but immaculately clean. Staff was wonderful, especially Trish! Room was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool area after a long drive. Breakfast was hot and filling. Will stop here again in the future!

The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and efficient.

The room was very small with less than comfortable mattresses (soft and a bit lumpy) and the bathroom door slid closed, almost.

The worst hotel you can possibly imagine. A barn smells better than the "suite" we paid $300 a night for. False advertrising too. It looked so much better in Expedia website but when we got here was totally different. The room given has not seen any updates in years. The receptionist offered a cancellation with me loosing my money but that was it. That's all she can do. .

Nice remodeled building. That courtyard and pool areas are really nice. Great staff.
