Residence Inn by Marriott Pleasant Hill

Great for families, stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it had a full fridge and kitchenette. Visited the common area with the pool everyday as it was super hot in Pleasant hill. Always a stock of pool towels available. Also used the bbq area and patio area a few times for meals with the family so we didn’t have to go out all the time. Lots of convenient places to order in from as well. The included hot breakfasts were delicious and even hit one evening snack and social time on a Tuesday. Over all great value and space for the cost

Well maintained property, nice trees & plants, nice pool, & outdoor sitting area.

I'll start with the good points, the room was surprisingly quiet for being situated near the Freeway(requested room not facing the highway and the front desk was nice enough to accommodate the request). The A/C unit was external to the room which made it so much more peaceful for sleeping. However, the room was not properly cleaned. The first thing we noticed was overhead fan blades were caked in dust and too many cobwebs in corners. The counters and floor in the kitchenette needed a good wipe down. The bathrooms toilets and tubs needed cleaning, like it was just left it after the previous guests. In general the couches, chairs and carpet need to be replaced, the appearance is worn and grimy. I don't enjoy complaining, and not very fussy but this was bad enough that that we had to demand they take care of the cleaning issues right away. The staff was very pleasant, and helped us anyway they could. The issue we feel is at the higher Management level, quality monitoring needs improvement. Overall I would say our stay was average.

Great hotel, I have stayed here every time I’m in the area

The a/c was broken in our room. We were moved to another room at 1030 in the evening which was inconvenient for the travel time we had and having to be up early the next day. Because we booked through Orbitz, the hotel wasnt able to compensate anything for having that happen to us. Was very frustrating and inconvenient as mention above.

Big rooms and kids loved the pool. Free breakfast was also a big hit.
