Older but clean and well lept

Location was great!! We have stayed here many times and found it satisfactory however not this time. Bathroom was dirty, toilet seat was broken and caused us to slide off. No facial tissue. Pillows uncomfortable and carpet was soiled. Did not provide coffee early or throughput the day. May not come back

When I made the reservation for 2 rooms I hoped they would be near each other. I requested an accessible room for my parents. Not only was their room not accessible, but our pair of rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel. I chose to get a king suite with hide a bed for our daughter and had to request a rollaway which was delivered to the wrong room and we had to go request pillows from the front desk for it. Only sugar-free syrup for waffles, the toaster had one side that was broken, and there was hot water but no tea available.

Our family recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Chanhassen, MN, (we had three rooms for two days) and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. After our daughter and son-in-law settled in for the evening to watch television, they were horrified to find wasps buzzing around the ceiling. This was not only unsettling but it is also a serious safety concern. Despite informing the staff immediately, the response was slow and inadequate. Additionally their sink didn't drain and the shower tub didn't drain. They were told there wasn't anything that could be done about it. The room itself was poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect. The cleanliness was subpar, and the amenities were lacking. The presence of wasps made it impossible to relax or feel comfortable and they asked for a different room. They were moved to another---also wasps. They were moved to the third room and that one smelled like a urinal---finally moved to a fourth room that had no visible insects, but was grimy and filthy. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites all over the country when the Carlson group owned and operated this chain but since Choice Hotel Group has been in chatge, they are terrible. We stayed at their properties in Stillwater, MN as well as Council Bluffs, IA within the last 6 months and I will guarantee you we will never stay at another Choice Hotel property. All of them have been dirty and poorly run. I expected a much higher standard of service and cleanliness from Country Inn & Suites. I was told by a day staff that the manager would compensate me for our trouble but so far just the ueual runaround---someone who isn't in today will call tomorrow. The morning we left, we walked past a room being cleaned and I saw the housekeeper using a sticky lint roller with a long broom handle, on a mattress and wondered what that was all about. When we got to the elevators there was an unattended cleaners cart and visible to all was a sticky lint roller on a long handle loaded with what looked like small bugs! If you value your health and safety---don't reserve a room here and if you already have a reservation, cancel it and run from this property as fast as you can. I do not recommend this hotel (or any Choice hotel) to anyone and urge the management to address these issues promptly.

Other than a squeaky hinge on the bathroom door ( But what do you do to deal with the constant humidity?) the room was excellent. Having the temperature of the room proper and the fridge cold has become rare.

This is a great place to stay and had a wonderful staff.

Convenient Tv was a big problem! Food on the floor behind end table and under chair

Our room wreaked of smoke, the carpet was stain-filled and dingy. I disnt even want to walk on ot with bare feet. The sofa had stains, the bathroom was not cleaned well and looked like wallpaper and finishes from decades ago. They reied to use apoxy putty to cover wall paper holes.The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable . Do not recommend.
