Embassy Suites by Hilton San Rafael at Marin Center

Stayed for 2 nights for a conference & loved the quiet yet good location near freeway, the hot breakfast, room facilities & the pre-dinner offerings.

Black mold in bath, refrigerator not working, A/C went off a at night when no movement in room though told by chief engineer it was body heat regulated. WHAT A JOKE!! !!!! It’s a motion sensor that ALL these properties use to save energy at the cost of PAYING customers. Ordered fajitas on menu and they served a quesadilla!!! Again customer is not going to know the difference? Did give us a 10% mold discount🙀

The restaurant on site, food was very expensive and not great. the room was old and one of them smell like smoke so we had had to request for a different room. most of the staff looks like they hate their job. they don't come around and pick up the plates that you leave out in the front. when we checked in there were plates from previous night and when we left the next day it was still there so to be sure , I'm not sure how many days the dishes were left out by the hall. during my checkout day the cleaning lady came and knocked on my door around 9:30 a.m. and was surprise I was still in the room and asked me do I know what checkout time is. I answered yes 11:00 a.m. and it's not 11am yet. instead of apologizing she said. oh well. you should put the do not disturb sign so I would know not to come clean the room. first of all nobody told me that. so how would I know? and second of all it was not even my checkout time yet.

Good for kids.

AC not working on day one, room service requested but never showed, restaurant expensive for what it is.
