Le Sirene B&B

Situated in the baroque hillside town of Ragusa Ibla this B&B is the ideal place to spend a few days. The owner, Franca, is a great English speaking host with lots of useful tips of places to visit and eat as well as keeping a spotless B&B. Le Sirene has been beautifully renovated to become a modern 2 bedroomed property with good air conditioning. Franca provides a parking permit so it is easy to park on this narrow street of Ragusa Ibla - we were able to park outside Le Sirene every time - however, it is best to walk to restaurants etc. as the town is compact and magical at night. We are a fussy couple but would recommend Le Sirene to anyone - do try it !

This is a stunning B&B very near to the cathedral in Ragusa Ibla. Not only were the owners helpful and charming, they have built a remarkable property with the best finishes. The interior design and build quality of the place is first class including beautiful shower room and bedroom. One of the owners is American and chatted to us at length about all things Sicilian. This property is the best value B&B we have visited in our dozens of Italian trips and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

I can highly recommend Le Sirene to anyone fortunate enough to be spending a few days in lovely Ibla, the historical old town of Ragusa. The property has been stylishly refurbished without losing its original charm and is very conveniently located for nearby restaurants and historical sites. Franca is a wonderful host and will ensure you enjoy your stay!

This is my first review because I feel overly compelled to write about my experiences in a beautiful B&B in Ragusa, Ibla in Sicily, Italy. I had a delightful stay at the B&B Le Sirene. This is not an ordinary B&B. It is a gem nestled away in the coziest corner of Ragusa, Ibla. To begin with, the B&B's location is ideal: on a quiet street just a stone's throw away from the church of St. George (probably the town's most stunning example of Baroque architecture). If that weren't enough, there is a myriad of wonderful streets and alleyways to walk through and numerous restaurants and shops along the piazza. When visiting Ibla, it's like talking a trip 50 years back in time when life was a lot slower and people walked because they wanted too. But I wasn't prepared for what I was about to see inside the B&B: a mosaic-tiled shower, marble-inlay floors, and exposed sandstone rock make this "B&B one of the most luxurious I have ever stayed in. It is the perfect marriage of old-world charm with its exposed rock walls, meets new-Italian style with frosted glass doors and in-floor lighting. The beds are firm, the bathrooms are exceptionally clean and beautifully designed, and the hostess is wonderful in her southern Italian hospitality. She was extremely accommodating with restaurant suggestions and things to see in Ibla (she is from Ragusa so, who better to guide you?). The breakfast was abundant and deliciously fresh: The hostess made fresh coffee and grabbed croissants from the local bakery. But she also accommodated my more 'American' tastes with morning hard-boiled eggs! Despite the 'old-world' feel to the B&B, it is equipped with a strong Wi-Fi signal, flat screen tvs, air-conditioning and special parking for guests of the B&B. This is the only B&B I have ever stayed in that I wish I had spent more time in! I highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking to book a stay in one of Sicily's most beautiful villages.

I have stayed at Le Sirene B&B and I would definitely go back, it's cosy, modern, nice modern rooms with all the facilities you might need Flat screen TV - WiFi and air con. Very convenient location right in the Heart of Ragusa's baroque neighborhood! Highly recommended.
