Kilya Hotel

Nice hotel with great pool and views from sea facing rooms. Helpful staff. Food was nice but service very slow. Wedding guests prioritised over regular guests. Nice beaches (all with entry charges). Not a lot else to do in the town.

Great location with multiple dinner venues. Kilyos is a small beach town with friendly people and nice beach access. The hotel is clean but there were indicators that maintenance was needed. My room had a light switch that was defective and a broken tile in the elevator caught my attention. Housekeeping did not come in during my stay and toilet paper consisted of partial rolls.

La vue était magnifique. Après c est tout. La Clim ne fonctionnait pas. C était pas très propre. Des taches sur les murs. Ils ont mis le paquet sur la piscine et les transats et la vue. Très très cher le repas du soir. Pas de Clim dans l hôtel en lui même ( partie commune ) Le petit déjeuner médiocre ( au début il y avait une machine à café et ensuite ils l ont éteinte. Du lendemain pareil elle était éteinte mais si ôn en voulait c était IN EXTRA, c est leurs mot favoris. Le pain dure de l avant veille. Non franchement petit déjeuner très médiocre Il y avait 1 serviette de bain dans la chambre alors que nous étions 4 . Nous les avons reçus en fin d après midi et c était celles de la piscine . Et l hôtel très très très cher pour ce que c est!!! On paye la vue !!!

I was charged extra day despite I was promised that extra day will be returned I have yet to receive it. I reserved a room for three adults but received one double bed room initially. I was given additional room for the first night and supposed to be moved to three person room next day. Did not liked the idea moving to different room next day left the hotel and asked for refund.

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel, Pool was spotless. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff could learn to smile more.

Pros: Location-the hotel is only 20 mins from the airport, away from the city, in a quaint village with narrow streets and cute restaurants. The beach is right there. Views-the sunsets are breathtaking. Splurge on a room with a view! Restaurant-the food in the hotel restaurant is delicious Pool-the saltwater pool is overlooking the sea, the pool bar is convenient, although service sluggish Service-the front desk staff do seem eager to help, not all of them speak English, but they try. Restaurant staff is also pretty good. Bar service by the pool-not good. Be prepared to wait for your drinks. Sometimes they have to go find the bartender to mix a drink, and it takes a while. A couple of times it didn’t happen at all. Cons: Rooms-rooms are basic and could use a facelift. My room was not very clean, particularly the bathroom floor. I didn’t tell the staff, since I was out of the room all day. My room was not cleaned at all during my three-day stay. AC-the air conditioner in my room wasn’t working properly, again I didn’t complain and just slept with my window open. Beach-it not the hotels fault since it’s public beach, but it’s just awful. Full of trash and plastic pieces. Just really really sad. And they charge $2-4 per person. Good enough to take a walk at sunset though. To conclude, I would return because of the value and the food and the authenticity of the village.

Front desk doesn’t seem to care about any of your issues. I didn’t realized they had smoking rooms when I was booking, so after check in I asked if I could switch mine to non smoking (I get really allergic) Reply - we are full. Literally that’s all they said. The most annoying thing - hotel was half empty, there were rooms available online on all the booking websites so that was just not true…. No people at the pool and at breakfast. Today we are leaving and the same rooms are still empty…. If they were more expensive it could have been communicated and I’d gladly pay extra to change my room, but everyone at the front desk was extremely short. Full. Conversation over. I didn’t have remote for my AC, went to get a new one, it also didn’t work. AC blasting cold air, temperature switch isn’t working, it’s impossible to completely turn it off also for some reason. Safe doesn’t work. I had a fridge, my parents didn’t even have that in their room. Stains everywhere, not just on the floor, on the curtains too… Breakfast- I guess I was fine for the price. One positive thing about the place - nice clean deep pool with a view of the sea. Super nice teenage kid helping guests at the pool, he’s also the only person speaking English. Honestly- this could have been a 4 stars review if only I was heard and not brushed off at the front desk.
