Kilya Hotel

Odamızda klima çalışmıyordu, pencereyi açmak zorunda kaldık öyle olunca da otopark sesi rahatsız etti :/

The property was nice but the AC was broken and the 4th floor room was an oven. With my sleeping baby after a long day of traveling in the afternoon heat, this was not good. I called them several times and went down to front desk several times. I asked for help but they said that they would just turn it on somehow. Each time the AC would go on for a couple of minutes and then shut down again. They sent their son to fix it and he said he would get us a new remote, which we never received. At the end of the day I just gave up. Eventually the room cooled down at night when the breeze hit. I just cannot believe how unprofessional they were.

there was no transfer service from/to airport although it was written and advertised in the homepage. Air-conditioning did not work. there was no effort to offer any solution.

Öncelikle resepsiyon görevlilerinin giriş yaparken hotels aracılığıyla rezervasyonumu gördüklerinde oteldeki en kötü odayı kendilerine fiyat farkı vermeyeceğimizi anladıkları için teslim etmeleriyle başlayan hikayemiz oda farkı ödeyerek iyileştirme kararımıza dönştü. Fakat suit oda farkı ödeyerek sadece deniz gören ama günlerdir tozu bile alınmamış en pis odaya yerleştirildik. Asansör kapılarındaki kusmuk kalıntılarını söylemiyorum bile.

Temiz bir otel. Odadaki Boya nemden bazı yerlerde atmış. Odadaki eşyaların biraz bakıma ihtiyacı var. Dolapların civataları çıkmış. Şimdilik 4/5 lik, biraz elden geçirilirse 5/5 olur.

Location of the hotel, view and food was amazing. Rooms were small, hallway was smelling like an ashtray.

If you book this hotel based on the pics you are in for a bit of a disappointment. Pros: The location is very nice since it is by the water and the staff does their best. Unfortunately, that's about it. Cons: It costs the same, if not more (due to the tolls) to go from the Airport to Kilya compared to going from the Airport to anywhere in Sultahamed or the other side of the Bosphorus. The center of that area is composed of only a couple of streets with mostly beach-related items. So, if you are planning on buying gifts before going home, this is not the place. The entire hotel looks a bit run down. The rooms were normal size, but the bathrooms were extremely small. Especially the shower. I truly don't think anyone size greater than medium would fit comfortably. If you are claustrophobic or need to shave your legs...keep the shower door open. Not sure if we would have asked for a comforter they would have provided, but the room did not have one when we first got it. Also, even on the 4th floor and with everything close you would still hear the noisiness and the music from the pool. I say this, 'cause the pics look very relaxing. Disclaimer: This review is only based on a few hours. We were supposed to stay the night, but that seemed too long and a bit painful. So we booked another hotel by the Galata tower to try to save some of the time lost. Best decision ever!
