Marriott Cincinnati Northeast

This hotel was absolutely filthy. Our room was dirty and falling apart. The whole trim fell off the wall luckily I was able to pop it back on as I’m sure the hotel has done many times. It was musty. Pillows flat. Bathroom dirty. Pools full of bugs so we move to indoor pool that was full of dirt and hair. I was so disappointed in our stay. We came here specifically for the kids to swim and they wouldn’t even get in that nasty water. There were other families there who warned us before we even got in and I was hoping they were just being dramatic but nope it was THAT BAD. And then no one could rest with pillows so flat we had 3 stacked and it still wasn’t enough. I just wish we didn’t go here because it really ruined our trip. We just wanted a place to swim and relax before and after fireworks and this place wasn’t it.

Hotel was wonderful and the staff, especially Ayse ( M Club) and Erica (front desk) went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

When we travel, the things I look for in a hotel are: Safety, clean and comfortable room and food options. Safety - Located in a nice area with easy access, the grounds were clean and well manicured. There was lots of parking and the front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Returning to the room after a late theme park night we did notice a parking lot full of trucks taking up 3+ parking spaces and that was frustrating, especially with two lots closed for a convention. Cleanliness/Comfort - The room was clean but showed definite signs of age. What you couldn't see from the photos online was that the bathroom has a sliding frosted glass door with no lock and huge gaps on the side so those entering the room can see the person on the toilet. This may be fine for business travelers, but it isn't something we as a family want in a hotel room.  I would have booked elsewhere if I had seen it. Housekeeping was fine. I never felt the room had really been cleaned but they took the trash out and put on new sheets so that was enough. They did not replenish toilet paper and the extra blanket we requested was thin, scratchy and ineffective. We ended up going to Walmart to buy our own. The beds were fine. On par with most of the older Marriott's we have visited. Once we finally got comfortable in the bed, the A/C went out and we got a call waking the whole family at 1:45 am to ask us to check the fridge. Phone is all the way across the room which is not ideal for a middle of the night call. We didn't use the inside pool but when we tried to use the outside pool there was a group of men with beers already in it. I have two teenage daughters and these men oogled them to the point that my girls asked if they could just go sit in the room instead. Food options - We chose this hotel because it offered room service and had a good menu for the on site restaurant. The first night the pizza was inedible. My steak was gristly and tough. Fries delivered cold. We decided then to eat off site as much as possible.  We tried to grab a breakfast in the lobby one morning and it was terrible. The omelet had cold cheese on top and large hunks of onions. Having dined at a local breakfast place the day before and been served a fantastic western omelet, this was a huge disappointment. My daughter's yogurt that said it came with granola was instead filled with rice krispies cereal.  The bottom line is that we wouldn't book this hotel again. While the location is nice and the front desk staff were very helpful and kind, there aren't enough positives to warrant the price per night.

I enjoyed my stay other then the fact there were a lot of drinking at the outside pool. You couldn’t go out when you wanted due to the people drinking. If you had kids or don’t like being around that then you had to wait until the evening time to go to it. If it wasn’t for that it would definitely be a place to stay at.

Great hotel, all staff was very friendly and represented hospitality to the fullest. The two guys in the restaurant were awesome. They were friendly and engaged with the entire bar area. Thank you for a good stay I'll be back to stay on my next visit

Very nice renovated hotel. However…the bathroom door is a sliding glass partition. And the toilet sounds like a jet airline taking off when flushed. NOT a good combination. When you go to the bathroom at night it is impossible to not wake up someone else in the room. Very poor design.

Really comfort bed, good food and very clean and spacious hotel, nice to walk around, only had one night there but would definitely l book another night there in the future.

We stayed for several days for a soccer event. The hotel is clean and kept up. The staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows are awful. The blackout curtains don't cover the window well...so they didn't black out. Overall sleep was hard to come by. This is not just my opinion. The whole team was complaining about it. The beds are double beds...which is just silly. They are too small for two adults to sleep comfortably and the rooms are plenty big enough for queen beds. Regardless, the beds are very uncomfortable even alone. The pillows are basically non-existent. On top of this, the room was hot and stuffy regardless of the number on the thermostat. Overall...not a lot of sleep was had. Full service hotels are rarely worth the extra cost to me...and in this case, if you can't get a good night's sleep, what's the point of a hotel?
