Proximity of everything

Pretty run down and pool was very dirty (cloudy). We were not comfortable getting into the pool. Hot tub was “ok”. Temp was good.

"Good downtown location on river"

The hotel is in a good location; nice view of the river to watch the waterfowl; staff was very friendly and helpful. Cookies and juice in the afternoon and clam chowder later were a nice touch. The breakfast was good and substantial; we especially loved the biscuits. A big downside is the lack of towel bars. We are fine reusing our towels but need a place to let them dry. One hook on the back of the door is not sufficient for more than 1 person. It would also be nice to supply more washcloths at the start as housekeeping does not come to replace them daily. The other issue we had was lack of any light to operate the coffee machine. I had to use my flashlight in order to see the fill line for the water.

Generous room size. Great staff. Especially Amadeus who made a timely repair for us. Excellent chowder served upon check-in Fresh baked cookies every afternoon. The lemon were Amazing!

Always confirm the type of room you requested before unloading. We were tired and happy to be checking in…how we missed our fireplace is scary…but we moved down the hall. The first room had a nice wet bar by the fridge and microwave, perfect for our in room breakfast. We could never be up and out to enjoy theirs which was included. Perhaps offering to serve till 10am for seniors who like to sleep in. Seaside is a vacation destination after all. Not really for business.
