Quality Inn Dubuque on Hwy 20

My teen daughters and I like to visit Dubuque a couple times of year for the change of scenery from the quad cities. We started back when they loved the waterpark- now we just go To shop and enjoy a meal. This inn provides everything we need including a small indoor pool to entertain us and keep us overnight.

I thought the hotel beds were comfortable. The free breakfast could have given more options. The parking needs improvement.

Nice and dog friendly. Have a great grassy area for dogs well maintained.

Booked this hotel for a baseball tournament. I booked over a month before we went. The day we showed up they told us that they had overbooked and they had to cancel my reservation. The lady at the front desk said she had called the day before but never spoke with me she said she left a message which I never got. After arguing with the lady she said oh wait something must have just happened because I have one room available a suite with a king and queen bed. That's amazing since that's exactly what I booked. So my family and I go to our room to find stains on the bed and mattress. The carpet smelled and was so dirty. Unfortunately we had to stay because after calling every hotel in the area no one had a room for us do to the large baseball tournament that was going on. I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel in my life. After everything the hotel has put us through we asked for a lower rate and was told that the manager was not there and wouldn't be back till August. The front desk lady said she would leave a message for him to reach out to me when he gets back to see what they can do for me. We shall see if that happens.

Melissa P. at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and Linda in housekeeping was very professional and friendly when she cleaned my room.

The room wasn't the reserved room. Pet area was nonexistent, contrary to advertised 'off-leash' per area. Check in time was lengthy - not due to other customers. Rates were pricier than comparable properties, but it was one of the few hotels allowing 2 dogs. Pool hours were less than advertised. Front desk was not staffed 24 hours as advertised. Fridge had ice build-up that prevented sufficient cooling. Furniture mismatched and some in poor repair. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay.
