ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck

Good location around 15 minutes walk from Place de La Bourse. The hotel is clean, comfortable and you know what you’re getting - it’s fine for the price. Parking an extra €20 euros but car park is secure and on site.

I stayed at an Ibis in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil before, and it was much better than this one I stayed at recently. The room was terrible, the AC was not working, and there were no face towels. Although my room was clean, I couldn't take a shower because the bath was too small for me. There were no safety handles or non-slip mats in the bathroom, which was not safe. When we went for breakfast, I couldn't find a plate, and it seemed like others were also eating out of cereal bowls. The heating trays weren't turned on, so the bacon and scrambled eggs were cold and unappetizing. The staff didn't seem very interested in addressing the issues. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and didn't go back for a second time.

We chose this hotel because it had parking underground. But the parking was so tight and the entrance/exit was so steep, both times we used it there were several cars trying to leave and cars coming in at the same time. The room was very small, the space between the foot of the bed and the wall was almost too tight for any luggage to be placed on the far side of the room. There was mold in the bathroom around the tub. We asked for towels (they had only 2 body towels, no hand towels or washcloths). They replied they would bring but never did. The included breakfast was very nice. A good variety of breads, eggs, bacon, meats and cheeses. It was a 4 minute walk to the cathedral, and very convenient, 10 minutes to old town.

Very centrally located and an Irish pub located just a few blocks away.

Parking was extortionate and should be reduced for hotel guests. Bedrooms could do with modernising but bathroom ok. Meals ok

The whole stay was perfect

Very good location for city centre and rugby stadium but unfortunately the hotel isn’t great. There were no cups or glasses and an empty water bottle with no explanation where to fill it. The second day, all the towels were taken away and not replaced and the bed wasn’t made.

Hotel conveniently located. Staff very friendly. Standard room a bit on the small side. Sofa bed uncomfortable to get a full night sleep and rest. Room separated by door from bathroom.

Great value for the price. Breakfast was only 3€ per person- great bargain
