Boar's Head Resort

Nice property, thats it. Rooms are exceedingly dated, worn out, barren walls, noisy AC, old TV technology, and spotty WiFi. Preposterously overpriced, stupidly restrictive cancellation policy (no refunds, no matter how far in advance you cancel for a fall weekend), and very inexperienced members of bell staff. The cart ride to our room upon arrival was around dumpsters, equipment sheds, and various maintenance facilities. Bellman didnt know where our room was or how we could get back to front desk. Food was also expensive, but was cafeteria quality. A few photos attached. Would never go back.

Nice stay…. Didn’t know their was a coffee machine in 2nd floor until day 2…..

I have been visiting this resort since 2021 and unfortunately have witnessed the quality and service decline drastically. What used to be a treasured family experience every year--staying for a long weekend during the Christmas lights, brunch, and gingerbread making workshop was, as of last year's event in 2024 a sad, overpriced, and poorly executed experience. I have stayed at this resort throughout other seasons (Fall, Summer, etc) and at my most recent stay the experience--from the staff treatment, to the cleaning staff, and the state of the resort, I can sadly say that this resort is no longer going to be on our list of regular favorites for the Charlottesville area. I do not recommend going if you are expecting anything other than a basic hotel room and a pressured early exit (as in 8am when the cleaning team begins to knock on the door.)

This was our first time and it will not be our last. We went to celebrate our anniversary and barely left the resort. Friday night we dined in the Mill Room and had the pleasure of a live guitar player, the food was delish but the service is what stood out. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The front desk, the servers and bartenders, the golf staff, the pool attendant at the spa. We enjoyed golf, hiking, the pool, and just exploring the beautiful grounds.

We had a great experience at the Resort. The room was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. We certainly recommend this resort wholeheartedly.

The resort was lovely. I didn’t have any problems with my stay. The room was cozy with a nice coffee maker with sufficient supplies. The couples massage was relaxing and the heated towels and neck pillow was an added bonus..

The entire was great. The spa services were top tier and I would surely stay at the resort again. This is my time experiencing a turn down service at a resort. The in room coffee machine was a great touch with plenty of condiments.

Camera grande con balcone. Pulizia buona. Personale gentile e professionale. Hotel immerso nel verde con parco ben tenuto ideale per una passeggiata. Struttura con annesso golf e campi d tennis. Ristorante nella struttura ottimo.

Aria condizionata fuori uso.

Resort molto bello fuori città nel verde. Campo da golf, tennis e squash (16 campi), piscine. Camere molto pulite e cioccolatino la sera sul cuscino!

La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato aveva aria condizionata molto rumorosa, ci hanno anche cambiato di stanza perchè anche spegnendola faceva un rumore pazzesco! Comunque sono stati molto seri e ci hanno spostato subito di stanza appena segnalato il problema. Molto efficienti, ma anche nell'altra comunque c'era rumore, più basso rispetto alla prima. Dovrebbero cambiarli!
