Hyatt Place Phoenix Chandler - Fashion Center

Thin walls let in every single noise from the adjoining room and/or hallway. Doors randomly slam and/or squeak. Breakfast is very very lacking. Service was fine, room was decent - hotel would be comfortable enough without all the noise, but it was not a restful stay.

The room itself was very big, had enough room for a family of 5, it was very clean, ac was cold, water pressure was strong got hot quick. The location was great close to everything. The staff was very friendly from checking in to asking for extra towels. I would definitely stay here again. The pool was a nice size, water was clean. The breakfast was okay, could add a little more options, but food was still good.

This was the second visit to this location in 10 months. The property is well maintained, rooms are clean and comfortable. My beef is with Management and Housekeeping. Last trip housekeeping started knocking at 8.30am and I left feedback about knocking so early . This time I stopped by the front desk after breakfast, requested, and was approved for, 2pm checkout. Yet Housekeeping started the annoying key knock at 10.30am. There wasn’t a “Do not disturb” door hanger in the room.

Spacious suites, clean, good breakfast and great service. Location is very good, only 15 minutes to Airport and walking distance to Mall.

Hot tub wasn’t any warmer than the pool the first room we got we had to leave because the bathroom door was broken. Went to the front desk and they told me they would come look at it in the morning. I was not OK with that. I like to have a door on my bathroom housekeeping never came in till like four in the afternoon and when they did the first night, they took our old towels didn’t leave us any new ones or any coffee or any of the other things that should’ve been done beds weren’t made etc.. I have so many things to say.

Clean, updated, and friendly hotel! I will stay here every time I visit the Phoenix/Chandler area. Very convenient with the mall across the street also!

I am a Hyatt Rewards Member, I booked my room directly through Hyatt over a month prior to check in, received confirmation of stay, & attempted to do online check in the day of arrival & the system told me my room was not ready. Later that day (prior to 7pm) arrived at Hyatt Place & informed the hotel was overbooked in the room type I had reserved was sold out (I was completely agreeable to an alternate room type) & that I was being “walked” (bumped) to Home 2 Suites in Gilbert, AZ. (Hyatt Place did not have the courtesy to notify me of their lack of rooms prior to my arrival.) I was given a letter to take to Home 2 Suites (a 10 min drive away) to supposedly cover the cost of my first nights stay. I inquired if the Hyatt Place had availability for the remaining 2 nights of my 3 night reservation & I was told they did not. In my effort to figure out what I was going to do next I determined the Home 2 Suites had one remaining room for that night and no availability for the remaining nights if my trip. The Chandler, AZ area seemed to be very busy as I struggled to find any availability for a 3 night hotel stay. Meanwhile, I observed 2 other guest parties arrive at the hotel, check in & be assigned rooms. It was all very perplexing! Eventually the young man at the front desk took pity on me and assigned me a room, for which I was very grateful! Thank you so much Javy! The next morning when I was near the front desk at breakfast, I heard staff discussing that the night I had checked in they were oversold by 3 rooms, so I was not an isolated case. As for general comments on the hotel: the exterior is well kept, pool area stocked with towels & clean. There’s plenty of parking, but could be better lit on the backside of the building. The complementary breakfast was mediocre. The upper level hallways were overdue for vacuuming when I arrived & never got vacuumed during my 3 night stay. My room was large, mattress was very comfortable. The HVAC vent was filthy above the bed. My window was unlocked. The fridge & coffee maker were unplugged behind the console. Unfortunately the fridge took several hours to cool down, so I ended up tossing my food. There’s a lot of road noise & I did notice police across the street one night. Overall, my stay was ok, but the start was stressful. I recognize hotels can oversell, but notification would have been appreciated so I could have time to research other options.
